Per NFL.com, the Rams may be entertaining trading Gurley. He is at this point a shell of his former self and stuck on the books for two more seasons. He is essential uncuttable this year and still a big hit next year. There is speculation that the Rams would have to give a pick to trade him. Do we ante down?

Per spotrac, he is essentially uncuttable until 2022 and will carry a $17.25 mil contract next season followed by a $13.2 mil contract in 2021. There will be a $4.2 mil dead cap hit if released after 2021 season is complete.

This is worse than the Brock contract setup. Is it worth the mess for more picks? Conversely, we could cut him right away and have $25.2 mil in dead cap but be done with him. What do y'all think of these options?

We would have to cut vernon to make it feasible.

Id do it for a 1.

Do they have a 1?

Would bill polian die?

They don't have a 1 this year but do next year.

(I was just joking. I switched the poll to say 2022 1st rounders instead of 2021 1st rounders--I'd missed that the Rams didn't have a 2021 1st--and then was pretending like it had always been that way and that you weren't making any sense.)

Gotcha.  If we could pull it off, it could work.  Having his old Georgia running mate here might help the two of them work to reach new heights....or as high as Gurley can reach with his knee issue.
