AB apology tour

Do you buy it?

Most importantly will teams buy it? Did he really hit rock bottom and now is humbled? Which team will sign him?

It doesn't really matter unless or until someone signs him. I think he needs to take a break from football and get his head on straight if possible.

Don't buy it.
But some team will. The guy has too much talent, some GM is going to convince himself that he's sincere and overcame his demons and blablabla.
Guy is probably a Top10 WR still, even after a year off football. And he'll get a relatively small contract for his potential production.
That's enough for another team to gamble.

No one has any reason to buy anything he says. It's incredibly easy to apologize when you don't really have anything left to lose. And if any team claims to believe him, it's really just because they think he might be talented enough to be worth the BS. It won't actually be because they trust him.

If this were a year from now, and we didnt hear a thing about him in the meantime aside from maybe he was seeking help, I MIGHT but this.

Right now, this is clearly just "I miss making millions, so my agent and PR specialist told me I need to pretend I'm sorry".

These werent lapses in judgment....this was a mentally ill man escalating his extreme behavior.  That doesnt just disappear with an apology.

Bottom line...hope AB gets help, but any team who puts him on their roster for the 2020 season needs more help than he does.

At this point anything Brown says or does I'd take with a huge grain of salt.

Not a chance.  I think Walmart and McDonalds are hiring if you are looking for a job, A.B.

The only thing that matters is can X team pick up Antonio without extreme backlash? If so, he's on board. Right now, he is making steps towards good PR which is all that matters. If he keeps his mouth shut and stays off the radar, he could be back.

That said, I don't think he can do it.

This.  AB is effectively in Josh Gordon territory now.  Teams may/will still gamble on him because of the upside as long as the cost to do so is minimal, but even if they say they differently, they're going in expecting the timebomb to eventually explode and hoping they've done enough to minimize the shrapnel damage he could cause.

It's only going to be (likely) entrenched, (very likely) strong-willed/cultured coaches (I'd contend, as well, ones with entrenched QB's who have strong Type A personalities) who are willing to put their locker rooms on the line for AB and even then there will be some who just flatly aren't willing to buck the good thing they've got going to run the risk.
