Vikings Add Dom Capers to 2020 Coaching Staff

Eagan, Minn. (February 10, 2020) – The Minnesota Vikings have added Dom Capers to the coach staff as senior defensive assistant.

Capers enters his 33rd season as an NFL coach and his first season with the Vikings as Minnesota's senior defensive assistant in 2020. He most recently served as the Jacksonville Jaguars senior defensive assistant during the 2019 season.

To be fair, the Jaguars aren't exactly the ivory tower of football organizations.  And he likely won't be calling plays for the defense, to appease all Cheese-friends.

Dom Capers and Gary Kubiak both in Minny? Like a trip down memory lane, the two ex HCs for the Texans.

Next thing you'll tell me is that Bill O'Brien is joining the Vikings as the GM...

... please, Minny. Just take him away from here.

This hire may not make sense to some, but the deep thinkers out there have probably already deduced what this means.  The Vikings have just implemented Step 1 in our plan to tank in 2020 and end up with the #1 overall pick in the 2021 draft to secure the services of Trevor Lawrence for the next 15 years!
