Rivera and Williams Have Connected

This was the only logical step once Schaffer, Allen and Hess were shown the door. You'd be crazy to think Williams holdout didn't at least impact those guys job a little bit. I think we'll re-sign Williams to a nice deal along with Scherff and Flowers. There's simply no point in creating a hole where one doesn't need to be on a team that should be ripe with cap space. The crazy thing is how the Alex Smith contract is essentially the salary cap penalties 2.0. Bruce was such a disaster.

Leaks are leaks. If the good ones come out the bad ones eventually will too. Good or bad nothing leaks in New England or Pittsburgh or even KC, the teams were hopefully shooting to emulate

? I feel like New England has had leaks. The AB stuff, Josh Gordon, etc. They're just better at leaking what they want leaked.

"Nothing leaks out of New England"

I'm sorry, does that Seth Wickersham article from 2 years ago not ring any bells?

Why? Why create an unnecessary hole on the roster?

There is a long list of reasons you could choose from

1)He completely screwed us over last season

2)He trashed our team and employees like medical staff publicly

3)He is old

4)He is always hurt

5)He just isn't that elite anymore and certainly not for 16 games

6)We replaced him with almost no fall off for 1.5 million dollars last year

7)He wants a huge contract that is mostly guaranteed

But how do we replace him? Why risk further injury when if we had a quality leader up top before we could have kept last year behind closed doors and just upped him before the mishandling? In the end to me Trent is the out of Bruce so for that he’s a living legend in my book. He should be healthy. And if he believes he has a chance to thrive he will be motivated.

He did not trash the team. He trashed Bruce and the medical staff.

When you consider the amount of stuff they’re involved in (all the gates) and the vast amount of media attention they get yes, very little leaves that building
