What other reason would there be to not include that year? There is none. Especially when that year conveniently leaves out a season Newton scored 35 touchdowns. One of the more accurate stats for QB is adjusted net yards per pass attempt. I've told this to Matts, because Rookie years for a QB are pointless and never indicative of a QB's true level of play.
