hope you keep that same energy when a pitcher intentionally throws at a batter

Swinging a helmet at a guy who isn't wearing a helmet would be more akin to a batter running out to the mound after being hit by a pitch and hitting the pitcher over the head with his bat.

idk this reads like you're moving the goalposts.

a baseball being thrown 90+ mph is likely going to cause more devastating injuries if it connects above the neck.

Number of times football helmets have killed people: 0
Number of times baseballs to the head have killed people: More than zero

But they wear batting helmets specifically to protect them from that possibility.  In this case, Myles Garrett swung a helmet at an unprotected player.  This is something that I would consider extremely serious - something that could have left a HUGE stain on the reputation of the entire sport if Rudolph had been seriously hurt.  It doesn't matter what Rudolph said or did before that.  The visual of him swinging that helmet just looked BAD.  If Rudolph had gone down and ended up with a permanent brain injury of some kind, it would have been pretty bad for the league.

Its whatever. We all knew this was going to happen. Idc how good people think he is as a person, he has a thug mentality on the field just like Burfict did. It wont be his last suspension. Should he have gotten a life time ban? Probably not but he also shouldn't be playing a single snap in 2020 either. People wanna trash guys like Gordon but at least they're not going around breaking kids' arms and not even getting a slap on the wrist or bashing people with a helmet and only getting a slap on the wrist.

The fact people are STILL trying to defend Garrett and act like there is any justification for his actions, imo still makes them as pathetic as he is.

100% correct that it would have been a horrible look had anything serious happened (outside of a concussion) but the "assault w/ a Deadly Weapon" crowd is being a little overdramatic imo

No it's not because that's literally what it was.

Go outside with a helmet and hit the first person you see.

When you get out of prison come back here and let us know what you were charged with.

Um or how about going and tackling a dude like Harrison use to do to people to a random person on the street. You are going to jail for that as well. Just like pitchers don’t get in trouble for throwing at people
