RULES

1. We will be going by the point system. 1st choice is worth 3 points, 2nd is worth 2, and 3rd is worth 1 point. The player with the most points at the end of the poll will be the selection.
2. Do not select the same player for multiple choices, doing so will nullify your vote(s)
3. If you feel very strongly about 1 player as the choice, you may vote for 1st choice only and abstain from the 2nd and 3rd choice by selecting [[Leave Blank]]
4. If you think a player should be selected that is not listed, please respond with a post who should be the selection.
5. Voting criteria is up to you. Meaning you can vote either for who you think the team SHOULD take, or who they WILL take.

Sort of a weird spot, tbh as how I feel probably doesn't entirely match up with what I think the FO believes. Guys I think that the team should potentially take here (especially given the lack of mid round picks) are guys I don't think that Shanny will put a ton of stock into (Cushenberry & Ruiz, both of whom are singularly centers for the most part and would be drafted to play guard, which isn't always ideal, and not always valued by Shanny), and two guys I don't think are perfect matches (McKinney & Winfield), may be higher on the priority list given the likely loss of Ward moving forward (we have a built in replacement, but it's never a terrible idea to have the next round chambered in case he doesn't pan out; if he does, Tartt is a free agent soon after).

I do not think the team will spend an asset this good on cornerback at the current point in time, but I wouldn't hate it if we did.

So I'm kind of torn on selecting what I think the FO would do, and doing what I would do in their place.

Man, Ruiz in the first? That would be a nice reach.

He's probably going to go in the second, so I don't think it's that big of a reach. The problem is he doesn't have enough experience at guard to really justify throwing the first round pick at him to play that position out of the gate. I think he's only played a handful of games there.

Gotta think Diggs would be in play here

Ayuik or Reagor. Develop that deep threat behind Sanders who’s only getting older

Not even sure Sanders will be back. FA and we have some cap rigidity. Thankfully FA before the draft so we will know first

I’m hoping it’s either secondary, CB or S, addressed here or IOL. If the pick is kept that is, I don’t think it will be kept as @Forge mentioned earlier the lack of picks until the 5th. For the purpose of this exercise I think the niners should actually target one of the Safeties. Ward and Tartt aren’t without a lengthy injury history matched with Ward’s solid play last season may make a new contract not worth it. Now behind Ward we do have Moore who’s shown some flashes but nothing super promising when given time and Harris backs up Tartt and isnprobabky more of a STs guy then anything. McKinnkley would be BPA for me here anyways and I love Winfield so either or would be good with me.

May it’s just my stubbornness but I hate the idea of watching Sanders walk after forking over a 3rd and a 4th for him. Use the money that would be spent on bringing back Ward on Sanders for a couple year contract with outs as we typically do. There are a few more deal restructures we can do to create more space as well.

IOL is an area I’ve wanted addressed for a while now but it doesn’t seem Lynch and Shanny deem it all that important, atleast in terms of using high end draft capital or targeting FAs.

All the WRs available is enticing enough however having used a 3rd and 4th this year on Sanders, a 2nd and 3rd last year on Deebo and Hurd, a 2nd on Pettis the year before that and multiple late round picks on other WRs I cant see them going back to that well with the limited picks we currently have.

CB would make sense factoring in Sherman’s age, Witherspoons play after returning from injury and last year, and nothing much in terms of depth beyond Moseley.
