A mid-season add after getting waived by the Tampa Bay Bucs, Hargreaves was due $9.5mm on his 5th year deal. He preformed well for the Texans for the most part, chalking up 21 tackles and looking like a competent #2 CB for the Texans.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of market he'll get, but I can see the Texans bringing him back on a lesser deal.

How was Conley for you, Texan fans?

He's been pretty good for us - picked up the system well, made a few good plays.

It's hard to judge this secondary because there was absolutely zero pass rush on this team - but he looked competent, might be our future #1 CB.

Cornerbacks bust all over the place but somehow scouts and fans don't want to believe it so nobody says a word and they keep getting shoved into the first round. It will happen again this year. Seattle is seemingly the only team that figured this out years ago...wait for the length guys to slip instead of forcing small handed short armed guys like Hargreaves into the first round.

Every position busts. Corner is one of the hardest positions in the NFL to play in the modern NFL, especially considering the rules, how it's tied in with the pass rush and what other players around you are doing

It's all about what they are asked to do as well. Seattle needs guys with length because that's what their scheme requires. Their best corner is Griffen, does he have long arms? I don't think he does, not really known for his size.

Corners take a few years to develop because it's such a nuisanced position as well

If you actually think having long arms is the only criteria, then idk what to tell you.

Replying without actually replying to some giant posts about corners:

Darby is absolute trash. It might be strange that the Eagles won the Super Bowl with him as a starter, but they did let Brady throw for 500+ in that Super Bowl.

The Texans priority should be to find corners that can play. Conley can be your #1 corner if 6-10 is your goal.
