goldfishwars
For the 'arm length matters' for offensive tackle crowd, here are the top 20 performing tackles from the last few years. Their average arm length is in the 46% percentile for everyone in the mock draftable database and 9 of the top 20 have an arm length below the feted threshold of 34 inches. Five had a shorter arm length than Jonah Williams whose arm length of 33.62 caused a stir last year. Name Arm Percentile Andrew Whitworth 35.00 84% Anthony Castonzo 34.50 65% Bryan Bulaga 33.25 14% David Bakhtiari 34.00 42% Eric Fisher 34.50 65% Jake Matthews 33.75 19% Jason Peters 33.25 12% Joe Staley 33.50 23% La'el Collins 33.25 14% Lane Johnson 35.25 84% Laremy Tunsil 34.25 56% Mitchell Schwartz 33.50 23% Mike McGlinchey 34.00 42% Ronnie Stanley 35.75 92% Ryan Ramczyk 33.75 29% Taylor Decker 33.25 14% Taylor Lewan 33.75 33% Terron Armstead 34.00 42% Trent Williams 34.25 56% Tyron Smith 36.75 97% Average 34.18 46% Edited February 21, 2020 by goldfishwars

Danand
I like the combine as a chance to get to see how players interviews with media and listen to background stuff from various reporters/analysts and Steve Smith of course.

I like it for what it is, but it's about what you do with the information that comes out which is important.
SmittyBacall
When do the measurements come in?
PossibleCabbage
Is there any reason to suspect that "doing athletic testing in the evening instead of in the morning" will throw off the value of the testing data as a historical comparison? As for the OL arm length issue it seems like the threshold should be "anything over 33" is not a minus". SmittyBacall
Not that it matters a ton given the type of receiver he is, but this isn’t a good look for his 40.
