Redskins vs. Rams - Snap Counts

—The Redskins played a lot of multiple tight end sets with

Jordan Reed (40), Vernon Davis(55), and Niles Paul (36) combining to play 131 snaps. That’s an average of almost two tight ends per snap. Contrast that to last week when the tight ends played a combined 87 of the 69 plays on offense.

—On defense, CB Bashaud Breeland, S D.J. Swearinger, and ILB Mason Foster played all 50 defensive snaps. That means that Foster didn’t miss a play after he suffered a shoulder separation and popped it back into place on the sideline.

Zach Brown missed a snap and Josh Norman missed three, probably due to his shoulder injury.

MORE REDSKINS: INJURY LIST LONG, PAINFUL BUT NONE SERIOUS

—Rookie Jonathan Allen again led the defensive line in snaps played with 29 this time. Matt Ioannidis was right behind him with 28.

—Non-Allen rookie watch: Fourth-round pick Montae Nicholson was a surprise starter at strong safety, playing 26 snaps before leaving with an injury. Fellow rookie CB Fabian Moreauplayed one snap on defense and 21 on special teams. Ryan Anderson played a dozen snaps on defense. Chase Roullier did not play an offensive snap but he got in on six special teams plays.

5. Remaining needs – The feel-good vibes will remain for only a bit longer. Because the Redskins have two very challenging matchups coming. Here’s a rundown of what they need to work on this coming week:

• Getting the ball to Jamison Crowder more. Late in the game, he had some cramping, so that’s why we didn’t see him as much, but earlier on, opportunities were there. He had four catches for 47 yards on five targets. With the other receivers still developing a feel with Cousins, the veteran slot receiver needs more targets.

• More consistency from Cousins. He again got sloppy with his mechanics at times. He got balls batted down at the line. He’s overthrown receivers while throwing off the back foot or not planting properly. It was good to see him work through it and throw a perfect pass to Grant to win. But the Redskins need better from their quarterback. A healthy rushing attack helps, but eventually the passing game needs to click more.

• Better tackling. There were too many whiffs. Yes, that’s sometimes what you get when you have such an aggressive unit, but the Redskins need to find the fine line. And they have to still do better on third downs.

• Rob Kelley, Jordan Reed, Josh Norman, Mason Foster, Montae Nicholson and Deshazor Everett all have significant injuries. The Redskins need to be as close to full strength on Sunday against the Raiders as they can get. This is the best team they have faced so far, and they couldn’t beat the Eagles healthy, and just barely beat a Rams team laying the foundation. Now they have a legit playoff squad coming to town in prime time.

Not sure what you mean. What's the difference between putting it all in a thread like this which is talking about post game stuff & analysis vs what you're suggesting?
