Nickpeloso17
Round 1 1. Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow, QB LSU Key FA Addition: Joe Schobert, LB The first no-brainer pick of the draft. Cincinnati has been locked in on Burrow for months now and gets their new franchise QB. 2. Washington Redskins: Chase Young, DE Ohio State Key FA Addition: Austin Hooper, TE Washington doesn't necessarily need an edge rusher, but the kind of player Young can become is too great to pass up. Young joins Montez Sweat, Matt Ioannidis and Ryan Kerrigan to create a dangerous group of pass rushers. 3. *Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa, QB Alabama Key FA Addition: Joe Thuney, OG It's no secret Miami has coveted Tua since the season began. I think the rumors about preferring Herbert are smoke, and Detroit seems more than willing to make a trade work. Miami probably gives up #5, #39, and their 2021 2nd rounder in a move comparable to the Sam Darnold trade up in 2018. 4. New York Giants: Mekhi Becton, OT Louisville Key FA Addition: Yannick Ngakoue, DE The Giants will listen to offers on this pick, but ultimately decide to stay put and pick the biggest offensive lineman available. Becton moves incredibly well for his size and can fill in at either tackle spot to help protect Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley. 5. Detroit Lions (via MIA): Jeffery Okudah, CB Ohio State Key FA Addition: Jason Pierre-Paul, DE This is probably the best case scenario for Detroit. Okudah is likely the player they have their eyes on at #3, but there are plenty of other options like Isaiah Simmons or Derrick Brown here to make it worth the risk. The Darius Slay situation makes this a must pick. 6. Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert, QB Oregon Key FA Addition: Teddy Bridgewater, QB Similar to the Daniel Jones pick at #6 last year, the Chargers are able to get their franchise QB without trading up. Who knows what direction the Chargers will go at QB this offseason - they've been linked to Teddy Bridgewater and Cam Newton lately - but the best option here is to make sure they have their guy for the future. 7. Carolina Panthers: Isaiah Simmons, LB Clemson Key FA Addition: Robby Anderson, WR Carolina's in the same situation as Los Angeles when it comes to QB's. If they can't move up ahead of the Chargers, Matt Rhule could bring Cam back for the last year of his contract and pick up a replacement for Luke Kuechly here instead. 8. Arizona Cardinals: Derrick Brown, DT Auburn Key FA Addition: Andrus Peat, OG Jedrick Wills Jr. or Tristan Wirfs are popularly mocked here, but I wouldn't sharpie in offensive line for the Cardinals just yet. Arizona had a bottom-10 rush defense last year and a talent like Derrick Brown would be huge for them. They have money to spend if they opt to go after offensive tackles in free agency. 9. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jerry Jeudy, WR Alabama Key FA Addition: Jacob Hollister, TE WR might not be their biggest need, but the Jaguars like to go the BPA route. DJ Chark had a breakout season, and Dede Westbrook showed he can be effective when healthy. Jerry Jeudy is the top receiver in a stacked class for a reason. 10. Cleveland Browns: Andrew Thomas, OT Georgia Key FA Addition: Corey Littleton, LB Browns just hired Andrew Berry, their best lineman of all time is Joe Thomas...makes sense to me. Cleveland's been desperate for a franchise left tackle since Joe Thomas retired, so hopefully the first pick of the Berry/Stefanski era is a success. 11. New York Jets: Jedrick Wills Jr., OT Alabama Key FA Addition: Jack Conklin, OT This pick has to be offensive line. Sam Darnold was sacked 3.2 times a game (4th in the NFL) which doesn't bode well for his long-term health if something doesn't change. New York should be happy if any of the top 5 tackles are available. With nearly $50mil in cap space, the Jets shouldn't hesitate to add 2-3 starters. 12. Las Vegas Raiders: CeeDee Lamb, WR Oklahoma Key FA Addition: James Bradberry, CB Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow are solid players, but they shouldn't be a team's 1 and 2 options at WR. CeeDee Lamb is making a case to be the best receiver in this class, and very well could be. He can fit right in and be a pro bowl receiver for whoever starts at QB in 2020. 13. *Dallas Cowboys: Javon Kinlaw, DT South Carolina Key FA Addition: DJ Swearinger, S There are rumors going around that Jerry Jones wants to make a splash in the draft, and I believe it. The consensus is they would target Jeffery Okudah in the top 10, but a DT like Kinlaw is just as much of a need. Tyrone Crawford is a cut candidate, and Maliek Collins likely won't be back in free agency. Kinlaw is a perfect fit in Dallas' revamped defense project under Mike Nolan, so they move up ahead of teams like Tampa Bay and Atlanta to get their guy. The Colts are no strangers to trading down and adding draft capital. 14. *Philadelphia Eagles: Henry Ruggs III, WR Alabama Key FA Addition: Byron Jones, CB Philadelphia refuses to be outdone by Dallas when it comes to the draft. Very few members of last season's WR group should be back, and bodies are needed. The drop off from Ruggs and someone like Laviska Shenault Jr. alone makes this an attractive place to jump ahead of Denver for their guy. 15. Denver Broncos: Tristan Wirfs, OT Iowa Key FA Addition: Prince Amukamara, CB Losing out on Kinlaw and Ruggs in back to back picks hurts, but Wirfs is no consolation prize. Garrett Boles has been struggling and could benefit from a move inside, and with Ja'wuan James on the other side, the tackle spots should be set. Denver is an interesting team to watch this offseason With money to spend at CB for a guy like Byron Jones and not many glaring needs, Denver could be a team to watch next season. 16. Atlanta Falcons: K'Lavon Chaisson, DE LSU Key FA Addition: Dante Fowler Jr., DE Atlanta needs to have defensive ends at the top of their needs list. Pass rush has been non-existent in Atlanta for years now, and Chaisson is the perfect pick for them here. Losing Vic Beasley shouldn't hurt them too bad, and a young duo of McKinnley/Chaisson has a lot of promise. 17. Indianapolis Colts (via DAL): Yetur Gross-Matos, DE Penn State Key FA Addition: Philip Rivers, QB Nobody has a clue what Indianapolis will do across the board this offseason. I'm assuming they stick with Brissett for the last year of his contract like the Panthers do with Cam and let him prove himself. YGM is reportedly flying up draft boards and fits a hole in Indianapolis perfectly after a trade down. He has similar size to franchise legend Dwight Freeney. 18. Miami Dolphins (via PIT): Josh Jones, OT Houston Key FA Addition: Joe Thuney, OG Miami should be able to keep this pick if they trade up to #3, so the focus has to shift to protecting their new franchise QB. Brian Flores and company put a big emphasis on building the trenches last year, and there's no reason to stop now. 19. Las Vegas Raiders (via CHI): Patrick Queen, LB LSU Key FA Addition: James Bradberry, CB Mike Mayock has said himself they need to focus on the LB position this offseason. Trading up for Isaiah Simmons may be a pipe dream, and Queen may be a better value here anyway. The Raiders' pass rush stepped it up last season with Crosby and Ferrell joining the mix, so hopefully Queen can have a similar impact. 20. Jacksonville Jaguars (via LAR): Kristian Fulton, CB LSU Key FA Addition: Jacob Hollister, TE The Florida-Jaguars connection is very common with this pick to justify a CJ Henderson selection, but Fulton is the second best corner in this class in my opinion. This pick was received in the Jalen Ramsey trade, and while this doesn't seem like a very fair trade off, Fulton will be on a much cheaper deal and should have a similar impact. 21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (via PHI): Austin Jackson, OT USC Key FA Addition: Melvin Gordon, RB My first question is, who's starting at QB next season? They've been linked to Philip Rivers lately, but they haven't ruled out Jameis Winston just yet. No matter who starts under center in 2020, they'll need protection up front. Austin Jackson is a great option as the best tackle remaining and has the ability to start right away. 22. Buffalo Bills: Laviska Shenault Jr., WR Colorado Key FA Addition: Jadeveon Clowney, DE If one thing was obvious in Buffalo last year, it was their lack of weapons for Josh Allen. John Brown and Cole Beasley enjoyed breakout years, but they'll be 30 and 31 in April. The Shenault vs Higgins debate will likely last past the draft, but Shenault is the better fit here. 23. *Minnesota Vikings: AJ Epenesa, DE Iowa Key FA Addition: Emmanuel Sanders, WR New England receives Stefon Diggs from the Patriots for #23 and a 4th round pick next year. This is a trade that I wasn't really considering until recently, but it makes sense. Drafting a receiver won't do them any good, and Diggs is the best realistic trade option available. If Diggs is truly unhappy in Minnesota, the Patriots are the team to pull the trigger. With Everson Griffin now entering free agency, a vacancy at DE opposite Danielle Hunter may open up for Epenesa to fill. 24. New Orleans Saints: Justin Jefferson, WR LSU Key FA Addition: Sean Lee, LB While they failed to get Drew Brees his second Lombardi in 2019, the goal is still the same in 2020. Michael Thomas is arguably the best WR in the NFL, and a weapon like Justin Jefferson could take this offense to unprecedented levels, especially if they bring Taysom Hill back. The time is now to get Brees all the help he can get. 25. Minnesota Vikings: Jeff Gladney, CB TCU Key FA Addition: Emmanuel Sanders, WR Minnesota delivers a somewhat surprising pick here with Gladney over more popular guys like Delpit/Henderson/Diggs. Glandey is exactly what Minnesota needs at CB especially if Rhodes is let go. Mike Zimmer is known to covet DB's early, selecting Mike Hughes, Mackenzie Alexander and Trae Waynes in recent years - the latter two free agents next month. 26. Miami Dolphins (via HOU): De'Andre Swift, RB Georgia Key FA Addition: Joe Thuney, OG Most people don't seem to be sold on Miami taking a RB in round one, but they need some help, bad. Their leading rusher was Ryan Fitzpatrick(!) and they don't pick again until 56 after the Lions trade. If they opt to wait until the draft to add help, it's safer to take one here than to hope one of Swift/Dobbins/Taylor is still around that late. 27. *Indianapolis Colts: Jordan Love, QB Utah State Key FA Addition: Philip Rivers, QB Chris Ballard changes his mind. Jordan Love is a popular pick for the Colts at #13 lately, so if he's still here at 27, it's a smart move. The Colts are loaded with assets this offseason, having two 2nd round picks (and two 3rd's after the Dallas trade), and the second most cap space in the league. If they want someone, they have more than enough ammunition to make it happen. Love is seen as a raw prospect with lots of potential, and a season to sit behind Brissett or someone like Philip Rivers is ideal. 28. Baltimore Ravens: Kenneth Murray, LB Oklahoma Key FA Addition: Nelson Agholor, WR Baltimore doesn't have many needs following a 14-2 season. One spot that could become a need is MLB, with Patrick Onwuasor a free agent. He may be the odd man out if Baltimore decides retaining guys like Michael Pierce and Matt Judon are more important. Murray is one of the top options in a relatively weak LB class. 29. Tennessee Titans: Trevon Diggs, CB Alabama Key FA Addition: George Fant, OT The Titans are more than just a cool story - they're a very solid football team that can stick around. The obvious priorities are Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry this offseason, and I expect both to be back. Logan Ryan may be left without a contract, so a replacement could be needed. 30. Green Bay Packers: Tee Higgins, WR Clemson Key FA Addition: Eric Ebron, TE Davante Adams can't do it all by himself. The best Packers teams had multiple weapons in the passing game, which is what adding Higgins here would do. Adams and Higgins complement each other nicely and could elevate Green Bay's offense for the last few years of Aaron Rodgers' career. 31. *Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jacob Eason, QB Washington Key FA Addition: Melvin Gordon, RB Bucs fans probably won't like this pick, and I get it. But regardless of their QB decision in the coming months, none of the options seem like legitimate long term guys. Eason will climb draft boards during the process when teams start to dive more into the tape, and is rumored to be at least one team's QB2. 32. Kansas City Chiefs: CJ Henderson, CB Florida Key FA Addition: Chris Harris Jr., CB I do think Kansas City goes after a corner in free agency, or retain (at least) one of Breeland/Claiborne/Fuller. Both options still seem to leave an opening for a reliable starter like CJ Henderson. If he's still available this late in the draft, the defending champs would be smart to take him. Round 2 33. Cincinnati Bengals: Terrell Lewis, OLB Alabama 34. Seattle Seahawks (via IND): Xavier McKinney, S Alabama 35. Detroit Lions: Raekwon Davis, DT Alabama 36. New York Giants: Curtis Weaver, DE Boise State 37. *Chicago Bears: Cole Kmet, TE Notre Dame 38. Carolina Panthers: Neville Gallimore, DT Oklahoma 39. *Denver Broncos: Jalen Reagor, WR TCU 40. Arizona Cardinals: Prince Tega-Wanogho, OT Auburn 41. Cleveland Browns: Grant Delpit, S LSU 42. *Atlanta Falcons: JK Dobbins, RB Ohio State 43. Los Angeles Chargers (via CHI): Lucas Niang, OT TCU 44. Indianapolis Colts: Bryce Hall, CB Virginia 45. *New York Jets: Brandon Aiyuk, WR Arizona State 46. Detroit Lions (via DEN): Julian Okwara, DE Notre Dame 47. Jacksonville Jaguars (via ATL): Justin Madubuike, DT Texas A&M 48. San Francisco 49ers (via NYJ): AJ Terrell, CB Clemson 49. Pittsburgh Steelers: Zach Baun, DE Wisconsin 50. Chicago Bears: Tyler Biadasz, OG Wisconsin 51. Dallas Cowboys: Ashtyn Davis, S California 52. Los Angeles Rams: Cesar Ruiz, GG Michigan 53. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (via PHI): Rashard Lawrence, DT LSU 54. Buffalo Bills: Alton Robinson, DE Syracuse 55. Atlanta Falcons: Hunter Bryant, TE Washington 56. *Baltimore Ravens: Jaylon Johnson, CB Utah 57. Houston Texans: Jonathan Taylor, RB Wisconsin 58. Minnesota Vikings: Netane Muti, OG Fresno State 59. Seattle Seahawks: Damon Arnette, CB Ohio State 60. Miami Dolphins (via BAL): Anfernee Jennings, DE Alabama 61. Tennessee Titans: Kenny Willekes, DE Michigan State 62. Green Bay Packers: Ross Blalock, DT TCU 63. Kansas City Chiefs (via SF): Bradlee Anae, DE Utah 64. Seattle Seahawks (via KC): Joshua Uche, DE Michigan Edited February 26, 2020 by Nickpeloso17
EaglesPeteC
If the Eagles trade up for anyone, Ruggs would be the guy. Giving up that 2 would be difficult, but I would not hate the move for sure. Especially if the Eagles landed Byron Jones in FA. The only thing I see is having Nelson Agholor a “key addition” to any team? Yikes...... Edited February 24, 2020 by EaglesPeteC
FalconFan13
Love the Fowler pickup in FA as it seems he wants to be here and im pretty sure we like him and he will be targeted so it makes alot of sense. As for the draft pick i don't hate it as i am all for taking another DE even if Fowler is added. I would just prefer to tale Epenesa over Chassion as i have AJ rated as a much higher player coming out like top 10 to 15 or so compared to Chassion as a mid 20's to late 1st guy. for me it's Chase Young big drop off AJ big drop off gross little drop off chassion. Even though i have gross better than Chassion if AJ was gone and Kinlaw was gone i would take Chassion over Gross because Gross's off field problems and my doubts the falcons target him. Bobby816
Would be ecstatic for this to happen. Unfortunately I don't see Wills slipping to 11 and reports are we are going hard after the OG market more so than Conklin. I think we get 2 of Thuney, Scherff and Glasgow

mountainpd
Nice for Dolphins, Including a sensible trade up, should they go that way. Good FA pick up. would have liked to see one key free addition for each pick though especially given our cap space. Your write up on the running back is spot on in this scenario. I think we should wait until the second round but if we indeed trade that pick your logic makes sense. I do think if we give up 39 then we will trade down from 26 and try and grab another even if it replaces the 2nd you mention next year. The Gnat
I'd be curious to see about FA signing, but CB in round one is solid for the Vikings.

xlfrosti
I don't know who Bucs fan would hate that! Getting the RT that we need, picking up Gordon, and getting a QB for the future if it doesn't work out with whoever plays, is a great off-season for me. @bucsfan333 What you think?

SmittyBacall
First of all, beautiful format. Secondly, well done giving us Schobert. Hopefully we dip our toes into the FA pool. Round 2 on the way?
