CP3MVP
I thought the Saints In 2017 were playing with house money TBH
TecmoSuperJoe
Regarding the 2003 to 2005 Colts, I think they were only favored in the 2005 divisional against the Steelers. That definitely seemed like a game that they choked in. It was at home, it wasn't the Patriots on the road, and the Colts had smoked the Steelers earlier in the year. Steelers gave the Colts a couple of opportunities to steal the game back late, and the Colts couldn't capitalize. I don't view the losses to the Patriots in 2003 or 2004 as choking. They just did not match up well against those teams, and it was not going to work out for them in January in the cold.

We were never winning the other two years. The Saints may or may not have been the favorites in 17 or 19, but they were definitely good enough to compete with any of the four SB participants those two years. I think they were the best team in NFL both seasons. Payton/Brees folded up in the playoffs from 2017-2019 (although don’t think they were better than the Eagles or Pats in 2017) and played terribly. It’s just the definition of folding in the playoffs. Colts ran into an unexpected Pats dynasty. Yeah because they beat the Niners this year at home. There were the 3rd best this year
