$17m is a lot to pay for a good feeling

Romo is a sure thing

My original statement was more that I have a lot of respect for Peyton and since watching Peytons places, have come to really like the guy and learned how knowledgeable and passionate he is about football in general.

Romo is absolutely worth the tag. He is the best at what he does, imo. If they put more emphasis on knowledge of the game and insight as far as what is happening on the field, instead of the booger-esque smack talk, generalities, awful takes and common sense "no ish" statements, it would definitely lure in more viewership. Perhaps someone knows this, hence the deal.

I guess people seem to love Tony Romo in the broadcast booth.  So it makes sense.  Give the people what they want.  Personally, i find him kinda irritating.  He's like a buddy you have, who is always trying to be smarter than everybody and ends up taking away from the energy and flow of the game while trying to guess what's going to happen all the time.  But whatever...

Everyone around the Saints knows that Cam Jordan is the prince who was promised. He’ll immediately be a top 5 broadcaster the moment he hangs them up.

He’s getting a taste of it this weekend

Yeah, he's done commentating previously and he's a natural. Even when he's being interviewed, it's pretty impressive...he knows how to flip the switch from being intelligent and thoughtful to comical flawlessly. His charisma is off the charts. He's undoubtedly going to take someone job one day. I'm actually a little bit concerned seeing Romo get a huge contract because this really could shorten his Saints career. The networks know how good he is.

I mean he is smarter than everyone else in this particular instance at this specific thing.
