Is Jeff Okudah as good as they say?

His 2018 & 2019 game tape is elite, and he's faced top level competition.   He's earned the top 5 overall, and top CB label without a doubt.

Early age success, success against top competition, and game tape / skills analysis that says he's an elite cover CB.    Really, he checks off all the boxes.

See, most years I would say this, but I just can't justify him being a higher-rates prospect than the 9 guys I have above him. Honestly, this class is very top-heavy with at least 11 top-5 talents in comparison to most years (if you include Isaiah Simmons with my top-10), and probably 15-20 guys that could stack up against top-10 picks most years talent-wise (Jedrick Wills, YGM, Javon Kinlaw, Tyler Biadasz, K'Lavon Chaisson off the top of my head)

The fact Deion had to talk Okudah out of the finishing the on the field workout after he fell and hit his head at the combine says a ton.  Most dudes would have never went through with any of it but Okudah is clearly a great competitor.  Only issue is that he did not look like this or play like this as a FR or SOPH, this year he made big plays I just did not see a ton before this season.

Is a fine talent and love his length and how he uses it, he is no Stephon Gilmore though, he was a stud on a much less talented defense and was a stud from the word go as a freshman.

Bro... what are you talking about? Paved the way for what?

I guess Eli Apple and Gareon Conley are seen as busts relative to value, Roby went late Rd1, and Hooker / Malcolm Jenkins are safeties..... so "shutdown CB's going top 10-ish who were worth it"?   Or "OSU 1st overall CB's who were worth it?"

Well, I didn't post that line....I dunno, maybe there was a knock that OSU CB's couldn't be shutdown CB's, or Big 10 CB's?   No idea.

Okudah gets mocked between 3 and 5 most of the time. My gut feeling tells me he could slip out of the top 5. Would be a nice steal for the Bolts, Panthers or Cardinals. Jags at 9 is his absolute floor.

The Jags would cream themselves if they landed Okudah.
