Free Agent Measuring Scale:

Quality:
* * * * *   ---High end starter. Elite football player in their prime.
* * * *      ---Above average starter. Starter for multiple seasons.
* * *         ---Average starter. Could double as a high-quality rotational player.
* *            ---Fringe starter. Should only start in a pinch.
*               ---Below average starter. Depth player.

Money:
$ $ $ $ $   ---Break the bank. Paid one of the top 5 salaries for their position.
$ $ $ $      ---Paid very well. Eats up a decent chunk of the cap, but does not cripple it.
$ $ $         ---Paid adequately. Receives the league average for a paycheck.
$ $            ---Paid like a bench player, but above the league minimum.
$                ---Paid at, or close to, the league minimum.

2020 New Additions:

Ben Koyack TE
Quality: * *
Money: $
(A very good blocker with limited receiving abilities. A low-cost depth signing.)

George Fant OT
Quality: * *
Money: $
(A stellar athlete that can back up both OT spots and play some TE in heavy sets. Cheap depth.)

Jason Spriggs OT
Quality: *
Money: $
(Another good athlete that will come cheap. Simply depth signing.)

Ronald Blair DE
Quality: * * * *
Money: $ $ $
(He could move Vernon to the bench. The dude is very talented. We sign him average starting DE money to rotate.)

David Onyemata DT
Quality: * * *
Money: $ $ $
(Underrated DT that can rush the passer and stop the run. Will rotate in with Sheldon and Larry. We sign him to slightly below average starter money.)

Anthony Harris SS
Quality: * * * *
Money: $ $ $ $
(Great against the run and the pass. Versatile safety that can play all over. We pay him just below the market for the elite safeties due to his age.)

2020 NFL Draft:

#10: Tristan Wirfs OT Iowa
Grade: 79
NFL Comparison: Walter Jones

(Elite talent with some minor technical flaws. Mauler that fits our scheme to perfection. Could become an elite guard if he fails at OT.)

2nd: Antoine Winfield FS Minnesota
Grade: 75
NFL Comparison: Slightly Smaller Malcolm Jenkins

(Supreme instincts and good physical tools. Undersized for a safety. Versatile enough to roll down and cover in man or patrol the deep secondary.)

3rd: Hakeem Adeniji OG Kansas
Grade: 73
NFL Comparison: TJ Lang

(Another elite athlete on the OL. Easy mover that can reach block just about anyone. Capable of playing OT or OG in our scheme.)

3rd: Jack Driscoll OT Auburn
Grade: 73
NFL Comparison: Joe Staley

(Physical blocker with great athleticism for the position. A little raw as a pass blocker, but extremely toolsy.)

4th: Shaq Quarterman MLB Miami Fl.
Grade: 75
NFL Comparison: Donta Hightower

(Physical run stopper. Blows up guards and takes the souls of ball carriers. A little stiff, but not enough to disqualify him from excelling in coverage eventually.)

6th: Essang Bassey CB Wake Forest
Grade: 76
NFL Comparison: Joe Haden

(Will eventually become a #1 lockdown CB. Competes at the catch point better than any CB in the class. Not a physical marvel, which will push him down.)

7th: Michael Pinckney WLB Miami Fl.
Grade: 68
NFL Comparison: Paul Worrilow

(Solid all-around linebacker. Can stuff the run, blitz, and pass drop. Master of none, but will be a welcomed addition to the ST units and can provide depth.)

UDFA: Bryce Perkins QB Virginia
(Great tools, but clearly underdeveloped. A nice 3rd string developmental guy.)

UDFA: Reggie Corbin RB Illinois
(Very underrated. Homerun speed and is very good as a receiver.)

UDFA: Bronson Rechsteiner FB Kennisaw State
(Great athlete at FB that is probably going to pop on every drug test.)

UDFA: David Moa DT Boise State
(Spark plug DT that can provide interior pressure.)

UDFA: Zach McCloud SLB Miami Fl.
(Great athlete that got a ton of reps at Miami. Completes the trifecta of us owning all of the 4-year starting LB's from Miami.)

UDFA: David Dowell FS Michigan State
(Underrated player that flashes strong in the run game and knows how to keep everything in front of him in the pass game.)

2020 Cleveland Browns:

QB: Baker Mayfield/Garrett Gilbert/Bryce Perkins
RB: Nick Chubb/Kareem Hunt/Reggie Corbin
FB: Bronson Rechsteiner
WR: Odell Beckham Jr./Jarvis Landry/Rashard Higgins/Damion Ratley/Khadarel Hodges/Derrick Willies
TE: David Njoku/Ben Koyack/Ricky Seals-Jones/Stephen Carlson
LT: Tristan Wirfs/George Fant
LG: Joel Bitonio/Drew Forbes
C: JC Tretter/Willie Wright
RG: Hakeem Adeniji/Wyatt Teller
RT: Jack Driscoll/Jason Spriggs

LE: Olivier Vernon/Ronald Blair
DT: Sheldon Richardson/Larry Ogunjobi/David Onyemata/David Moa
RE: Myles Garrett/Chad Thomas
WLB: Mack Wilson/Zach McCloud
MLB: Shaq Quarterman/Sione Takitaki/Willie Harvey
SLB: Christian Kirksey/Michael Pinckney
CB: Denzel Ward/Greedy Williams/Terrence Mitchell/Essang Bassey/Tavierre Thomas/Donnie Lewis
FS: Antoine Winfield/Sheldrick Redwine
SS: Anthony Harris/David Dowell

K: Austin Seibert
P: Jamie Gillan
KR: Reggie Corbin/Tavierre Thomas
PR: Reggie Corbin/Tavierre Thomas

This is good AND realistic.

I hope we can land Thuney, but this is still great.

I tinkered with the idea of going with Thuney, but ultimately I think very highly of Adeniji at guard and came to the conclusion that the price tag for Thuney could be used elsewhere.

I would not be surprised or disappointed if we brought Thuney in though. He’s a legitimate beast.

2nd: Antoine Winfield FS Minnesota

Man... it's going to suck to see him come off the board in the 2nd. Probably right though.

I know nothing of David Onyemata DT. Will have to look him up.

You're riding that Essang Bassey train until the wheels fall off (which they will). I can respect it.

Wirfs isn't a mauler or people mover, but he's a special finesse zone player and unbelievable when he's uncovered in space on the move be it working to the second level, pulling, or moving down the field.

There's never been a freakier Olineman in space and his highlight down field and blocks in space are some of the most insane plays I've ever seen.  He doesn't mash defenders or display functional strength and/or functional power enough despite being a freak in that regard testing wise. His technique as a tackle is horrendous at times with oversets and lunging.

Joe Thomas said he's guard b/c of his hip inflexibility. Now that Joe Thomas is on the Wirfs is a Guard train, you might as well join us (we've got a lot of space on this train).
