Regarding Maye, I like him a lot and to see him walk for a comp pick would hurt. Maybe we can parlay him and a lower pick into Yanick? That'd be cool only because I know it is not realistic to sign him and Adams. JAX has said they’re not going to give a discount on Yannik. So it will cost more than Mayer and a mid late round pick. Maye’s last year he’s probably only worth a 5th with his injury history.

Maye is prob worth a 4th-5th rounder whole Yannick is worth a late 1st/early 2nd round.

If that was the case, then he would have been traded a long time ago
Abe56
Yannick is not gonna cost as much as you guys think its going too. Few things are going against the Jags, 1 is their public dispute with him, made him look like a malcontent and teams may not want to deal with his personality, 2 is the fact the team that trades for him knows hes gonna require a mega contract post trade, so that right there eliminates a lot of teams that dont have the cap room and 3 they have Josh Allen and now Chaisson, so teams know they are not desperate to keep him, since they have adequate replacements. Without a player involved im guessing, it will be something similar to the Trent Williams trade, like a 3 next year and a 5 the year after.

Jax isnt letting him go for less than an early 2nd. They set the price of yannick, not us. Edited May 5, 2020 by KodiakThunder

They could take a second straight up so not sure Maye would be needed. Just remember the Trent Williams trade and all the ‘he won’t get traded for that’. He ends up going for a 5th round and a 3rd next year (will probs be a very late 3rd). Very hard to pay a man when he doesn’t want to be on your team or straight out refuses to play for you

Adams and Maye had the highest percentage tackle rate of any of the safeties in that draft class that year. Still hated the pick of Maye (I didn't love the Adams pick either with Watson and Mahomes on the board either).
