And why not?!

Because that **** takes the fun out of movies.  When you dissect something down and reduce it to a series of shots or plot points or framing or narrative functions or editing or the score or angles or foley effects or ten thousand other things you just take the piss right out of a movie.  You can know all about how framing and camera angles make Gandalf look big and Frodo small or that somebody smashed a cantaloupe to make the sound effect of someone hitting a guy’s skull with a mace in Braveheart and suddenly you’re taken out of the experience.  Movies are entertainment and you shouldn’t reduce entertainment down; you should just sit back and enjoy.  You can think about alleged penis armor representing the patriarchy or you can enjoy The Witcher.  You can think of Ewoks as the Vietcong or you can just sit back and enjoy Wicket as Wicket, a BAMF little guy.

The 1940s and Earlier Sci-Fi time period is possibly going to be the worst period in any genre here.  It is absolutely crap and I am going to nominate Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenstein just because of it, if Jurassic Park is Sci Fi, so are the Frankenstein movies then like I said before.  And if it makes it in, it could win by a lot because honestly what else would?

Pretty sad to say though because it is a horror movie and to call it a Sci Fi film, but is it Science related and is it fiction, yup.   Could be a potential what #2 or #1 seed.  That would be nuts in a freaking Sci-Fi tournament.  And people say Mad Max Fury Road is not Sci-Fi, sure.

You gotta get over this man.  What takes precedence, the action or the science fiction?  It’s clearly action-driven, would you disagree?
