The Bills have a very bright future.  I'll bet on that.  They won't be a one year wonder. As a playoff team, they are doing what they can to get better namely getting Allen a true number 1 WR.

We did that for our quarterback just 1.5 years ago, and just a few days ago secured that true #1 receiver for the next 5 years.

So, let me know when this registers. I have posted on here many times, it doesn't matter who we get as HC. This team will NEVER be a true contender as long as Jerry Jones is alive.

Every year it's the same story. FA, draft, TC, hold outs, drug suspensions, pantie thieves-sorry, couldn't resist-and bad nicknames.

It doesn't matter!!!!!

The fish stinks from the head down!

Buckle up for 8-8.

The Bills have also had an above average defense (15th or higher) by DVOA all three years under McDermott. The Cowboys have had one such defense since 2010.

We have huge needs on a defense that has been gutted.  Securing Cooper was the right move.  Our defense is in shambles.

There are certainly issues on this team that need to be addressed. But we are just a couple of days into free agency and everyone is freaking out. The Cowboys are being prudent, that is not a bad thing. There is a lot of time left and a lot of avenues to add talent. The melodrama is just a bit much.

But you are right, at the end of the day, our defense will probably be below average. On the flipside, our offense is very likely to be much better than Buffalo's, probably better than all but a small handful of teams, and possibly better than every team in the NFC. That puts us in a good position to win a lot of games.

Not all of them.  We are saving more than spending

Wait a second.  What?  Are you saying we are one of the worst teams in football?  I don't get it.  Great post.

I mean, when it comes to conference championship droughts, this is the company we keep:

  1. Cincinnati Bengals: 31 seasons
  2. Washington: 28 seasons
  3. Detroit Lions: 28 seasons
  4. Cleveland Browns: 27 seasons
  5. Miami Dolphins: 27 seasons
  6. Buffalo Bills: 26 seasons
  7. Dallas Cowboys: 24 seasons
  8. Houston Texans: 18 seasons

Just look at those names. We are who we are, we were 3-8 against teams not drafting top 5 this year, and so far this off season we have downgraded the roster.

Stop making sense.

Sigh.

Are we or have we recently been a great franchise? No, of course not.

Do the last 3 days warrant a freak out? No.

Those things are not mutually exclusive.

Our roster defensively is not as good as it was.  This from a defense that was not that good.  We were 8-8.  As Daboys says we were 3-8 against teams not drafting in the top 5.  So a lot of work has to be done and pickings are getting slimmer.  By the way no one is freaking out.  Many of us are simply pointing out the challenges the franchise has.

Not only do I think the Jones's are hiding from the Corona Virus. I also think they are surfing pornhub, wanking it like crazy in Hope's of sweating the virus out if they have it like a normal cold.

The signings thus far have been from their breakaway in between.

There is some serious melodrama in this thread about the moves, or lack thereof, over the past 3 days.

This team has many challenges and many holes. Indiscriminate spending in the opening days of free agency is only one path to solving some of those issues, and it's not typically a very prudent one.
