Vikings extend QB Kirk Cousins (Two years)

With the league’s current societal issues, particularly Washington’s, I’m seeing a ton of jokes in various media that “Who’s the only good people left in the NFL? Just Kirk Cousins?!”

Obviously many people in the league are good, and even perhaps some of the people with past misbehavior plate otherwise good, but I am happy to have a wholesome dude leading our team.

There are certainly a ton of good people in the NFL, Kirk is just one of the ones who's "outwardly" good.  It's a far cry from the days where you had to question the behavior of most players off the field.  Most of those guys have been weeded out of the system.  While he likely will never talk openly about his time in Washington, I can only imagine what a guy like Kirk thought of the situation there.  He may not even have been fully aware of it, considering some people are pretty good about covering it up.

You say that now. Watch, he’s like Wayne Brady in the Dave Chapelle skit 😂

                                                         Rodgers                                                 Cousins

Super Bowl Wins                             1                                                               0

Until the above changes, Cousins will always be thought of as inferior to Rodgers, despite being statistically better.  If Tarkenton had won a couple of Super Bowls, he'd be mentioned in the same breath as Staubach, Bradshaw and Montana.  As it is, he is considered a lesser QB, despite having better statistics.  Statistical achievement without championships is worth the same as a bowl of warm spit!

I think even if he wins a Super Bowl, Cousins will be considered a lesser QB, because the perception of him has already been settled.

It depends what we mean.  Statistically Cousins was better than Rodgers last year, and if Rodgers continues to decline while Cousins maintains, Cousins will be considered better at that particular point in time.  Career-wise, Cousins still hasn't come close to Rodgers in terms winning, statistics or accolades.
