I honestly want to see how this plays out in the whole "Who is responsible for the rings: Brady or Bellichick?" argument. I have a friend that is a terrible person/hardcore Brady fan masquerading as a Patriots fan. It'll be interesting to see where his allegiance lies now.

Little late for this experiment as Brady is obviously not the player he once was.

Agreed, also no way BB would be okay with tanking in his first year without Brady as it would make it look like he needed Brady more than Brady needed him, which his ego simply won't allow.

he will try to win games as does every coach. Thing is he might not be able to. Also I don't see how anyone can say with a straight face that NE won't have one of the worst rosters in the league.

well if the Patriots suck this year the Brady fraction will be loud.

The downside is that at 42/43, if Brady has a down year then you (general Brady fanatic) can always cop out that "father time has caught up with him, etc.". As much as I hate the Pats and Brady, there is no way that you can discount that pairing as they're clearly the best HC/QB combo of all time. I doubt either would repeat their success without the other but Bellichick would likely have more rings than Brady in that alternate scenario IMO.

They have Belichek. Other very low talent rosters don't have that.

You will end up grabbing a decent vet QB too. I'm sure you win at least 6-7 games. That's not going to be good enough for either.

BB isn't going to tank.

I don't see many more terrible teams. We will have bad QB, bad RB, bad WR, bad TE, below average OL, bad DL, below average DL, good DBs who will be old so could fall off a cliff as well. There really won't be anything good about this except a player or two.

I have my doubts about that. I see this team falling off a cliff.
