Not great as a deep safety and not great in run support. Definitely not a bad character guy but not a leader at all. He got in trouble a couple of times for stupid stuff on the Patriots. Overall just glad the Pats cleared space by moving his contract. It was necessary for them. Would have been cut probably at some point if not traded. Agree that just a start. Pats need to rid themselves of players that are close to 30. Build for the future.

Maybe they could jump for joy if we gave up a 5th straight up. It's a swap of picks.

Still, if he's being traded, then Detroit are paying what the Patriots won't be. You have taught me that the key to appreciating the Patriots is staying as far away from their fans as possible. Because of pointing out that the Lions are paying Patriots players more than New England would? I mean, that's been their MO for years, buy low and be willing to let guys walk. Surely you're not that fragile?

No, because your comment of "always works out when a team pays way more" is ridiculous, considering we're paying him nearly the exact same amount that the Pats paid him last year. Already clarified that wasn't specifically about Harmon, but still by definition you will be paying him more because he's a Lion and not a Patriot. I actually think Harmon is a decent pick-up if you need a safety who is smart and can rotate in. Great dude too.

It seemed like a strange comment, considering it was made in a thread specifically pertaining to Harmon. The second part is illogical... surely you can even admit that it was a poor attempt to justify an inaccurate statement. The Lions are paying Harmon exactly what the Patriots paid him last year. In many instances, yes, the Lions have spent more on former Pats, but this isn't one of those situations.

Like you say, it doesn't apply to Harmon.
