Why do you only show up on here when the Bears make a bad move? It's getting to the point of trolling now.

Because I've commented on Graham and Foles moves which most fans don't like and commented as such.

I like the Bears and think Pace is a terrible GM, so just sharing my opinion.

Didn't Chase Daniels know the offense?

I'd rather have a good QB learn the offense than a bad one who knows it, but that's just me.

If we get the Nick Foles who played in Philly and KC we made a good deal and if not there weren't any other options left that had any more potential than this.  Pace and Nagy wanted a vet to push Mitch and Foles was the last possibility left in the "meat case".

I do think that Pace is trying to get better players for the Bears but does make some boneheaded moves, And i see the starting QB job as up for grabs and to be honest both of them will need to step their game up bigtime. The whole team needs to this year. Go Bears

And wont be a QB comp if he is like he was in Philly and his contract deal is way more than Biscuits.

Mitch already had no margin for error coming into 2020 (rightfully earned, but the case nonetheless). Even if Mitch wins a competition with Foles in camp how quick is that hook gonna be? How bad would Foles have to be to not win that competition?

Kudos for seemingly cutting the cord to Pace and Nagy if that’s where their conviction was. Just wish he’d have done a different route with the replacement.

Might not be as bad as you think.

I'll wait to see the details of the contract. But like I said, reconstructed or not this was a terrible signing.

Except that would not have met the criteria he and Nagy had already established.

If you have no other choice maybe that's what you do but in neither case could we have counted on them to push Mitch so we'd have been no better off than we were in 2019 still not knowing what we have in Mitch.  He needs valid competition and FWIW Foles is valid competition.

The 4th round pick was a gift anyway and who might we have drafted that late with the potential to have as much impact as Foles may have?

Finding Mitch "competition" is not a hard thing to accomplish here. Just about any QB could be considered competition.

If Minshew can be found in the 6th round then I'm sure Pace and his scout teams could have found someone who they like in the later rounds.

This could end up being one of the steals of free agency.  Foles won a Super Bowl with DeFilippo, and if the Bears can get the defense back to their 2018 form, things could be looking pretty good in Chicago.

Good Lord Buck!  Are you feelin' OK?  LOLOL

Brother at least you are someone like me who looked at how well Foles has played in similar offenses under the same coaching he'll have now.  W/L record of 22-11.  61 tds vs 29 picks.  QBR of 93.2 in Philly and 105.9 in KC.  He may be no better than a #2 but at least he's one of the best #2s.

He wasn't my first choice but we could have done worse.

Probably nobody noteworthy.

OTC still has Long on the roster, he retired though clearing 8.1m cap.

I guess a Robinson extension is still coming to give Pace some more cap space.

Understood, but it does not have Quinn on the books and Leonard is gone. So between Quinn, Foles and draft picks you need over 25 million in cap room at a minimum.

Hahaha!  Ok, maybe I got a little into meatball mode when I first heard the news, but the thing about Foles is that he has played at a very high level on more than one occasion during his NFL career.  He should be an upgrade over Mitch, and if he and Flip can recapture the magic, you guys could end up having a nice season.

KC? He played what 2 games? Outside the one off super bowl season, he's a pretty known commodity at this stage.

I get your point though. Need someone to push Mitch.

The interesting thing is, Teddy passed because his camp felt it wasn't going to be an open competition so much as fallback if Mitch doesn't improve. So are we sure Foles starts?

OTC has Quinn already, Foles as well and they removed Floyd.

Trevathans new contract is in there as well.

Edit: They still need to add Graham but we do not know the structure of the deal yet, if I had to guess it is similar to Trevathans contract with some void years.
