I would put a bullet in a gun and shoot myself if we traded up for a guard.

Eh, Chubb is good, but is he that much better than what we currently have? That’s the question. It is true if you draft him though that you don’t need to re-sign Smith so you’re saving $ on a 2nd contract for Smith as Mknight says.

Nowhere near as athletic but he is a really really good football player

That's their projection, though they are both pretty close in projection. The projection is somewhat down on Chubb as a top 5 prospect though. Interestingly enough: https://www.footballoutsiders.com/index.php?q=stat-analysis/2015/sackseer-2015 Quote Preston Smith, Mississippi State SackSEER Projection: 22.3 Sacks through Year 5 SackSEER Rating: 75.2% Preston Smith only had seven sacks through his first three years of college football, then nine sacks as a senior. These numbers are well below average for a top-tier edge rusher prospect, but Smith salvaged his projection somewhat with a good pass defensed rate, as he managed to intercept two passes and bat down seven others. http://www.nfl.com/player/prestonsmith/2552276/careerstats 20.5 through 3. MKnight82
Interesting that Harold Landry is their top projection.
Woz
If you want to see how they did historically http://www.footballoutsiders.com/ramblings/2011/sackseer-lets-try-againhttps://www.footballoutsiders.com/index.php?q=stat-analysis/2012/sackseer-2012https://www.footballoutsiders.com/index.php?q=stat-analysis/2013/sackseer-2013https://www.footballoutsiders.com/index.php?q=stat-analysis/2014/sackseer-2014 Some of those are spot on, some are ludicrously bad. Some interesting names pop up in those lists.

Not sure how they can make a projection like that. Its absolutely ludicrous at how analytical people are trying to be. Maybe there is a reason they are called the Outsiders? I believe that Harold Landry is better than Davenport but neither are really better than Chubb.
