He wasn't that great, but don't really know how LA is going to replace him either. As for Matthews, this really isn't the 2010s anymore. We have holes at RB and SLB and both of them when healthy are legit players. But absolutely can't overpay for either incase the health concerns do show back up. He'd be an upgrade over Brendan Scarlett (although Scarlett is pretty underrated). This being said, O'Brien doesn't like him because he has long hair. According to O'Brien, long hair means you listen to death metal and smokes drugs and wear torn jeans and combat boots and sacrifice small animals...
