I have no idea why you put it on the same line as the quote from him, and secondly its a statement purely created by the journalist to try to make it seem like the government is doing something egregious by reporting comorbidity. They’re not. And guess what? That statement from the tabloid? Its just flat out wrong. The WHO has not said to not count comorbidity. In fact, their messaging on it is that comorbidity DOES count: Quote RECORDING COVID-19 ON THE MEDICAL CERTIFICATE OF CAUSE OF DEATH COVID-19 should be recorded on the medical certificate of cause of death for ALL decedents where the disease caused, or is assumed to have caused, or contributed to death. pwny Posted September 21, 2020 Share Posted September 21, 2020 (edited) Reasons comorbidity rate might be increasing: we’re getting better at noticing comorbidity, as we learn more about the disease we missed a lot cases at the height of the pandemic and comorbidity has always been that high The summer months and opening up meant people were more active and that caused more respiratory issues the virus has mutated and somehow targets comorbidity harder (this is probably the most unlikely) a number of other things that I’m not thinking of at the moment the data is wrong and 4K cases (~7% of all cases) were misreported Scientists are saying “we need to look at these and see which is correct, so we can react appropriately” and then tabloid rags are responding with “BREAKING: ONE THIRD OF CASES ARE FAKE”.
