Great news. It's been nearly two weeks since the parties, so youd think we'd start to see the beginning of an outbreak at this point. Seasonality may play a factor. If there arent any spikes in a couple of weeks due to the protesting, then the summer may not be so bad at all.

Of course many of the party goers are young and fit, so that may factor into all of this, too.

I read this last night and your last statement is my line of thinking. Being outside also helps tremendously as well as chlorinated water. Still though, this is pretty interesting.

With a more wide of a variety of people protesting, that will be the ultimate test IMO.

I'll say it if nobody else will:

I am completely over this whole situation. I'm not saying it is/isn't legitimate, but I'm at my wits end. I can't take my kids to the park, I can't get anyone to watch my kids, my wife and I are both working from home, and this is continuing through June. I realize this is a first world problem, but I'm frustrated.

Move to Florida. Everything is back to normal outside of wearing a mask in certain stores. I ate Sushi at a restaurant last week and it was delightlful!

I've also been to the beach a bunch of times.

I'd put some money on the "big one" earthquake hitting california

We had a 5.5 and a 4.2 yesterday as the San Andreas fault shifted around a bit in the desert, east of the Sierras
Those movements are either the critical release of built- up tension, or the lead- in to something bigger

Complaining is totally acceptable. No one is saying we all need to be happy about this.

When complaining turns into "well is COVID even real anyway" or "I'm going to defy the state guidance", that's when we start to have a problem.

To see this type of post 500 pages in on the third thread is really disappointing man.

How else could he “cleverly” be dismissive of both Covid19 and a guy getting murdered at the same time tho??

Big brained stuff right there bro.

I’ve never see someone try so hard to be an ignorant *** in my life.

Think he's poking fun at the skewed numbers from the Covid toll that people have been saying are inaccurate.

I'm not gonna make fun of him.

I will say this has been 500 pages just in this thread of a highly politicized issue, and while there's been bumps, for the most part people have been respectful of each other and either dropped stuff when it was time to or agreed to disagree. That type of post, particularly when the joke is phrased as a question from a guy with a pretty long track record of asking potentially inflammatory questions in a sincere manner, just craps all over that. It's just disappointing.
