That’s terrible. I’m not sure why they’re just now conducting user testing. 

If they haven’t gotten the conferencing debugged I wish them good luck with the security.

SI's Albert Breer reports the Lions' coaching staff has "taken a real liking to" Auburn DT Derrick Brown.

Most mock drafts have the Lions taking Ohio State CB Jeffrey Okudah at No. 3 overall, and Breer does as well, but it's no secret Detroit would love to move back a few spots. If they stick at No. 3, the Lions will have a decision to make. Brown is clearly the No. 1 interior defensive lineman in this draft and stands a mountainous 6'5/326 with the ability to play in a 4-3 or 3-4 front. The Lions were destroyed in the trenches last year. Pairing Brown with NT Danny Shelton would help there. The Lions are fully expected to go defense with this pick.

Giants are saying they're thinking about drafting Herbert, which is quite obviously nonsense. It can't do anything but help us though... The threat that all 3 qbs will be gone by 4 means teams have to trade up.

I don't mind the Derrick Brown talk. If we're trading back off of #3, I'd be fine with Okudah, Brown or Simmons. Or trading back s'more. I'm honestly still even fine with drafting Tua.

There is talk about Washington being open to trade offers. Which means that if they do take a deal

a) We can get Chase Young

b) The #3 pick becomes THAT much more valuable as one of the core QB's will be off the board. 

If the Dolphins trade up to take Tua and the Giants are talking about taking Herbert, LAC really have no choice but to trade up with us or risk losing out on the next best guy.

Would be very interesting but I dont buy the Giants taking a QB. Jones can flat out play. I think they just wanna move down which sucks for us.

I’ve really like the idea of trading back, no matter who is there at #3. And i’m Convinced that ISAIAH SIMMONS should be our pick with our 1st pick. I watched a lot of his highlights videos & mainly the Championship game. He can do it all. Pass rush, drop into coverage, run stopper. I believe we need to shore up our linebackers & D line, which will take pressure off the secondary by not giving the QB’s all day to sit back in the pocket & pick our secondary apart. I believe Simmons is going to be a stud in this league & we’re going to look back & wish we took this guy when we had the chance. Quit worrying about replacing Diggs & Slay and start building a dominated front force.

i wouldnt mind making a move for Hooker, i liked him coming out of college but if we make a move it prob be for Douglas, im guessing

An anonymous NFL executive in personnel told the Athletic's Bob McGinn that Clemson LB Isaiah Simmons is "the most overrated player in the draft."

NFL coaches and general managers prefer certitude, and that's nearly impossible to come by as it pertains to Simmons' role. In a poll of 16 executives asking what they thought his best position would be in the NFL, 10 replied weak-side linebacker, three said nickel linebacker, one said outside linebacker and two said safety. “If you put this guy at sam linebacker only, he’s going to struggle,” said an AFC executive. “If you put him at free safety only, he’s going to struggle. You’ve got to be creative." A two-year starting hybrid specialist who earned the 2019 **** Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker, Simmons played snaps at linebacker, safety, and nickel corner in college, allowing merely 5.6 yards per target given his elite sideline-to-sideline coverage skills. It would be wise for front offices to avoid pigeonholing him into any type of role, instead allowing him to roam free and naturally create plays at the next level.

In some ways, I do agree with all of that. He's not going to be a free safety. So you're looking at a SS/LB guy. He did weigh in at 238 lbs but is he going to play at that weight (probably not). He's not going to be an effective pass-rusher on a consistent basis. 

At his best, he's going to be Derwin James... who is oddly listed as a S yet the bulk of his snaps are at different OLB positions.

This also tells me 16 execs wouldn’t know how to use him properly. This is why some players never pan out in the league, not for lack of talent, but teams try to pin them where the team needs help instead of playing to the players strength and versatility. 
 

As for Simmons, I think he’s a boom or bust player, for this very reason. He’s either going to be a HoF talent like Troy Polamalu or bust hard like Aaron Curry. I believe Matty P could design a defense around him. But Patricia is our HC not our DC and is on a very short leash right now. 
 

While I think Simmons could end up being the most talented player in this draft, it’s hard for me to call him a sure thing and fully support him as our pick at #3. If we move back though, I think anything is possible and would support the pick.
