The only thing there is that it would have left one second on the clock, once the ref sets the ball down the clock would start back up and Glasgow would have one second to get his hand on it and hike.

I believe that the clock doesn't start until the ball is snapped after the runoff.

Well, it's worse than we though.

If a replay review after the two-minute warning of either half results in the on-field ruling being reversed and the correct ruling would not have stopped the game clock, then the officials will run 10 seconds off the game clock before permitting the ball to be put in play on the ready-for-play signal. The defense cannot decline the runoff, but either team can use a remaining timeout to prevent it.

If they would have called it right on the field, then reviewed it, there would have been no runoff.

Brutal.
