Davante: 94 targets, 50 receptions, 483 yards, 9.7 YPC, 1 TD in his second year. MVS: 56 targets, 26 receptions, 452 yards, 17.4 YPC, 2 touchdowns in his second year. Give me a ****ing break on opportunity. @smetana34, how’s that look for your opportunity argument? If MVS was on a roster with Jennings, Driver, and Jones he wouldn't have ever been on the field. He would have been lucky to get on the field with Cobb and Jones. Part of the opportunity equation is who you are fighting with to get snaps. The last two years we have Adams and pretty much nothing.

Wow. This needs to stop. Davante’s second year was in 2015 and it was by all accounts a very bad year where we didn’t have better options. Just like MVS. This is worse than revisionist history it’s delusional history. If you disagree take a deep dive and people hated Adams more in 2015 than they hated MVS last year. Nelson you can MAYBE make that argument for, but not even because he took FOUR years to develop. Lol just forgetting and dismissing Adams fighting through a high ankle sprain literally all of 2015? Whatever helps your argument I guess

You roster Trevor Davis for special teams. You roster Jeff Janis for special teams. Literally no one last summer said "Let's keep Darius Shepherd, he'll really boost our special teams." We thought maybe in a pinch he could return punts and kicks, but he wasn't challenging Davis, and he obviously had no place on coverage units. Frigging Jake Kumerow outsnapped him on special teams. cannondale
No matter how you slice it, going from WR2 to WR6 is concerning
MantyWrestler
I’ll still give MVS a good chance succeed. Tools are there and there were quite a few games where his production should have been better had 12 got him the ball. Lots of overthrown balls his way when he had a step. He’s still a young player.

What if I told you that until week 7 of this past season MVS was either on pace to or did outperform all of them at the same point in their careers? You talk about opportunity and you don’t know WTF you’re talking about. Greg Jennings was targeted 104 times in his rookie season.

He had no one to compete with for the #2 position. What about Nelson and Jones? They were stuck behind Jennings and Driver, competing against each other for the scraps. What about Cobb? He came in #4 on the depth chart. Once again you show zero understanding. You truly believe that Allen Lazard, Jake Kumerow, and Geronimo Allison are the same caliber receivers as all the ones mentioned above? You don't see how its so much easier for MVS to put up any sort of production early compared to Adams, Cobb, Jones, or Nelson? If you can't see that, this conversation isn't worth continuing. MVS had 20 receptions on 37 targets for over 400 yards in the first 7 weeks of the season. That’s 20 ****ing yards per reception. When Rodgers stopped throwing to him, Rodgers started sucking. You don’t know WTF you’re talking about.
