Per @ET80's recommendation & his fit...

With pick 111 of the 2020 FFMD Draft, the Houston Texans select

D - 0001 - A.J. Dillon - RB - Boston College

Even though the Texans traded for David Johnson :S :$ this off-season, a between the tackles RB of Dillon's quality was too good to pass up.

Also, there is - unfortunately - an ongoing injury concern with David.

A.J. will likely spend his 1st year splitting carries with Johnson on 1st and 2nd down (as well as being the primary in short yardage situations).

Duke Johnson will remain the 3rd down / nickel back.

If Dillon blossoms, the Texans can walk away from Johnson with a not too significant cap hit.

Plus A.J. is truly a Texas-sized RB with speed and power.

Hopefully, our dynamic OL partnered with an improved run game will open up passing options for DW4. (Sadly none of the passes will be going to Nuk anymore :/:(>:()

Welcome to Htown, A.J.!

With pick 172 of the 2020 FFMD Draft, the Houston Texans select

D - 0076 - Casey Toohill - LB - Stanford University

Casey needs to add some bulk to play edge / OLB in our scheme, but he has the frame to do so.

His athleticism will allow him to play ILB for us right now.

He is an athletic prospect who will contribute on ST to begin his career, but has the potential to be a nickel rusher down the road.

Moreover, Casey has been a leader in HS and for the Cardinal; we expect nothing less as a member of the Texans.

Welcome to Htown, Mr. Toohill!

With pick 240 of the 2020 FFMD draft, the Houston Texans select D-316 - CB - Kindle Vildor - Georgia Southern

Kindle Vildor - Football - Georgia Southern University Athletics

Pound for pound one of the top CBs in the NCAA last year.

Kindle has the measurements and mental make-up to become a starter as an outside / boundary CB.

The Texans are happy to see that he lasted until our first pick in the 7th round.

We see a bright future for Kindle in Houston where he will be coached up.

Welcome to Htown, Mr. Vildor!

With pick 249 of the 2020 FFMD Draft, the Houston Texans select IOL - Zach Sammartino - Dartmouth University

Zach Sammartino on Twitter: "Pro Day ☑️☑️https://t.co ...

His work ethic, pro day numbers, and lineage speak for themselves.

From steelerdepot.com

The Good

-Light, quick feet for a man his size; bounces around with ease in his pass sets
-Mauler mentality; finishes blocks consistently and stacks pancakes
-Able to clamp, mirror and match in pass pro
-Powerful iOL that stuns defenders with initial contact; heavy hands
-Possesses good awareness as a blocker and handles stunts/twists with ease

The Bad

-Competition level is a major concern; didn’t face many NFL-caliber DL at Dartmouth, but dominated those that have the chance to crack the pro ranks
-Struggles with hit power and drive on the move; feet tend to stop at point of contact when asked to work on the move
-Arms are just a bit on the short side low end 32.5; high end 33.25
-Can overset at times in pass pro

Bio

-First Team All-Ivy League and First Team All-New England iOL in 2019
-Didn’t allow a single sack in three years of action at Dartmouth
-Great Nephew of the legendary Bruno Sammartino
-Pittsburgh, PA native that was a First Team WPIAL honoree senior year at North Hills High School
-At Dartmouth Pro Day, put up a 5.27 40-yard dash, a 31-inch vertical jump, a 107-inch broad jump, 27 reps on the bench press, and a 7.30 3-cone drill. Numbers would have placed him as the top iOL in combine testing
-Played in 31 career games for Big Green, starting 20 career games

Welcome to Htown, Mr. Summartino!

With pick 251 of the 2020 FFMD, the Houston Texans select S/DB - Madre Harper - Southern Illinois

Madre Harper - Football - Southern Illinois University Athletics

When you watch file of his teammate Jeremy Chinn, Madre really pops off the film.

Also, 6’2″, 190 lbs, 4.41 40, 4.10 shuttle, 6.70 3-cone, 40″ vertical, 134″ broad, 14 bench press reps = what's not to like in the 7th round

Welcome to Htown, Mr. Harper!
