jch1911 Posted April 8, 2020 Share Posted April 8, 2020 Per @ET80's recommendation & his fit... With pick 111 of the 2020 FFMD Draft, the Houston Texans select D - 0001 - A.J. Dillon - RB - Boston College Even though the Texans traded for David Johnson this off-season, a between the tackles RB of Dillon's quality was too good to pass up. Also, there is - unfortunately - an ongoing injury concern with David. A.J. will likely spend his 1st year splitting carries with Johnson on 1st and 2nd down (as well as being the primary in short yardage situations). Duke Johnson will remain the 3rd down / nickel back. If Dillon blossoms, the Texans can walk away from Johnson with a not too significant cap hit. Plus A.J. is truly a Texas-sized RB with speed and power. Hopefully, our dynamic OL partnered with an improved run game will open up passing options for DW4. His athleticism will allow him to play ILB for us right now. He is an athletic prospect who will contribute on ST to begin his career, but has the potential to be a nickel rusher down the road. Moreover, Casey has been a leader in HS and for the Cardinal; we expect nothing less as a member of the Texans. Kindle has the measurements and mental make-up to become a starter as an outside / boundary CB. The Texans are happy to see that he lasted until our first pick in the 7th round.
