I said this in another thread earlier today - even if Pace and Castillo are right and Ifedi is really good at RG for us in 2020 he’s going to parlay that into an Ereck Flowers deal (3/$30M) next year that will have him elsewhere after 2020 anyway. Getting a guy who can start at RG in the draft is necessary whether Ifedi works out or not.

While I agree with this premise, I don't think things are quite so position-specific. The Bears can get significant cap savings if they move on from Leno or Massie. If you draft an OT, you can cut Leno/Massie and spend the savings on a starting RG in free agency. Drafting a quality OL will be important beyond 2020 and that OL does not necessarily need to be a RG.
