Training camp fodder.

Blah, blah. You're probably right, but that doesn't bother me. If anything, it's encouraging that the XFL is getting these people a shot that they otherwise likely wouldn't get, and they still might be able to play in the XFL next year. Strengthens both their viability and their product if guys like Gates and Nichols are signed and only half of the ones signed make a team, leading the other half to return to the XFL where they're star-caliber players playing fun, exciting football.

DC Defenders TE Khari Lee signed with the Falcons.

Lee is a solid athletic TE, may have a role in the offense. He's really impressed me as a blocker and has had a few highlight-reel plays:

Dont know much about these XFL players, but Steelers signed DT Cavon Walker, OT Jarron Jones, S Tyree Kinnel.

Was about to post that. Cavon Walker was very disruptive. He has the body type to play 0 tech, 3 tech, or 5 tech in a 3-4 with his density. He's somewhere in the 280-295 range, but he's not overly long. He has good lateral agility, though, and he was rarely pushed out of his gap. He really got penetration and put pressure on QBs, and was even better than his league-leading sack totals indicate. He could be a super sub if he sticks with the Steelers. He generated plenty of interest from multiple NFL teams.

I watched every XFL game as a fan (something that can happen when they only have eight teams and they space the games over two days). Kinnel didn't stand out to me, but I haven't gotten to the Defenders actual film for scouting yet. He had decent college production, though.

The Guardians' OT, Jarron Jones, looked very nice. He's one of the few tackles that flashed NFL traits. Wasn't as impressive as Storm Norton, but Jones really did a great job at creating running lanes and keeping his guy tied up in the passing game.

Thanks for the info.

Saw Walker was the XFL sack leader, but that doesnt really mean much.  If he could even be a decent rotational guy, Id be happy.

Yeah, I think he's a good fit for the Steelers. Watching him play, he had some similarities to the departed Javon Hargrave. I don't think he'll start, but like I said before, I think he'll turn into a quality super-sub across the front three.

The Chargers have signed former Dallas Renegades Super-Slot Donald Parham. Parham was arguably the most impressive player in the XFL this past season. Unreal athleticism. Outstanding length, really natural hands, and terrific long-speed (over 21 MPH). He abused everyone once he was getting targeted. He's that ideal "too big, long, and physical for a corner, too fast for a linebacker" weapon. He also gives really nice effort as a blocker. He shouldn't play TE at the next level with his weight, frame, and play strength not matching up, but at the very LEAST, he's a Slot WR beast in the open field with great hands and athleticism.

Parham was extremely productive in college and he actually was enjoying a very good Senior Bowl, but got hurt part-way through the week and had to sit out the remainder of practices as well as the game. He would have been a rookie this past year. He'll be a blocking mismatch against DBs and smaller LBs, so he should be played as a Super-Slot WR. Just watch him play. The Chargers got a good one.
