I think most thought he would/should be back. I’m glad he’s back and excited to see him grow in the offense.

Apparently his cap hit is out?

If his is out before Funchess’, I think that means it is REALLY team friendly.

I like Ervin as a returner, but didn't expect this. With Williams and Jones set to be FA after the season, I thought we'd draft RB in the middle rounds. We can't roll with 4 RBs on the active roster, can we?

Depends on what we do with FB. We use a TE there, think you can roll with 4.

Apparently the Packers and Jones have been speaking about a new contract, and in most cases a return specialist isn't really counted against a position group. In this case MLF has to stop talking about using Ervin and actually start doing it.

We tried to use him a lot in the second half of the year. Too much at times imo.

It's a "why not" signing.  Guy certainly changed how our return units looked.

And...if I'm looking at this from a cap perspective, it is really a $237,500 cap hit because if he makes the roster, it bumps some one else off, and last time I checked, those low end salaries were $650,000.  If I'm doing that right.....
