That fact the Nagy hasn't yet figured how best to deploy Patterson in his offense isn't Patterson's fault. Even at 235lbs he could very easily be that speed back we need if only Nagy would design plays specifically based on what Patterson can do best. He's an ace in the hole we aren't playing properly. He was productive as a gadget player in NE. 228 yds rushing/5.4 ypc 247 yds receiving/11.8 ypc So how we did well use him? 103 yds rushing/6.1 ypc 83 yds receiving/7.5 ypc. So he can be used effectively. We just didn't and you sir have been aced. He also has a 29.9 KOR avg and 7 career tds. The cat can play. JMHO Frankly if Nagy had used Patterson in the backfield as a RB and he had gotten that carries Cohen did IMHO that would have worked far better. Cohen is a guy you want to move all over the place and make the defense account for him.
