NFL teams go from worst to first, and playoff teams miss the playoffs, etc. often enough that this is the only fair solution. We shouldn't let teams double dip at top talent because they were bad in 2019. Of course, if there's no NFL season in 2020 , then there probably isn't a CFB season either so I'm not sure there'd be a draft. You can't freeze everyone at the same college year simply because a football season wasn't played.
