2 RD MOCK DRAFT - (NO TRADES) 2nd Try

I really messed up the 2nd round last time.

Here is another shot:

1-- A Philly fan didn't like Terrell Lewis in rd 2. Why? Injuries or don't want the position? Linebackers from Philly aren't very good. He shows good promise able to rush and defend the pass. Getting good value here, aren't we?

2-- I think the Giants need to establish an identity. Over the years it's been defense. In this case I think they should look to establish it on offense.

3-- I was tempted to have Brown at 3 instead of Okudah.  Or at 7 ahead of Simmons. Don't think they would do.

4--  After Burrow gets drafted, if I were a team needing a QB I'd be aggressive going after Tua.

Do you really think the Colts will draft 2 WRs in round 2? I think CB, Edge or TE could be options.
Also you have Chase Claypool drafted twice (44 and 64)

I think they should. ANd I think it possible.  Players drafted in rd 2 are not sure things. They got the OLINE but they have to be sure / certain they have enough quality receivers. Philly's 2nd rd WR pick was a bust last year I believe (I know one can always find busts but the point is that 2nd rd pick is not a sure thing but Colts have to be sure they get quality receivers). . Colts can't "wait" for players to emerge after a year or 2. I would double up if I were them. This is an usual circumstance. As far as TE's -- I think the WR's are more valuable for this team at this moment trying to win right now. Further, in my mock I have the best TE going last few picks of rd 2 so I didn't think much of them.

Sure maybe an edge. With that said, DeForest Buckner is going to help that D quite a bit.

And for CB -- they have Sin and Rhodes. They can get a CB in rd 3 if need be.

That 64th pick should've been Edwards WR from South Carolina. I could've sworn I changed it before copying it into here. I'll change now.

Thanks!! .

Ravens fans always want an explanation when we pick a runningback high.

If we pick a running back high, we are essentially demoting either a speedy Justice Hill to be a backup or a cut. The same with a perfect scheme fit in Gus Edwards, or cutting our most expensive but best runningback in Mark Ingram.

We would essentially have to cut/try to trade a good backup and cheap option for a more expensive and unproven option, who would still serve as a backup.

I can't say we won't pick a runningback high, and it could be a BPA option. But on a team with a lot of holes and the RB position being one of the strongest on the team, it makes little sense to pick a RB with the 3 we have under contract and Ingram showing no signs of slowing down.

The Ravens have a lot of holes? I'm a Giants fan. If the Ravens have a lot of holes then what might you think of the Giants?

For the Ravens its a 2nd round pick. A late 2nd round pick. Engram is going to be 31 in December. And you're talking about cutting a backup player for a guy who might even be the best rb by end of season.. Dobbins can be a backup in  year 1 then Engram is a year older - at 32. How long can RB's last in the NFL? IMO a lot of value with this pick.

What were you thinking instead? WR or TE or OL? I just thought the value along with the the current RB's age - drafting a late 2nd rd pick would be good. If Engram goes down or slows down a bit because of age -- you got yourself a late 2nd rd pick ready to step in.

Great! That's way better. Edwards over Claypool pretty easily for me.
Good draft for the Seahawks. If they're able to sign Clowney (still very possible) then I would prefer Ruiz or J. Taylor over Gross-Matos.
If not then that's a very good job at identifying the needs of the team!

#23. NEW ENGLAND: Jordan Love, QB, Utah State.

A complete gamble with a # 1 pick.

I would fire my GM if he told me his upside value could be huge!. Drafts Experts favorite catch phrase with no skins on the table  If you said Hurts at 23 I would feel a whole lot better than draft flavor of the month.

PS  No way  I'm saying Hurts at 23 but to take Love is just plain reckless.

"Jordan Love mocked higher. Miller pegs him to the Colts at No. 13, while Brooks has Love landing with the Raiders at No. 12."  They miss on the pick. Honey whats for supper! GM LinkedIn!

This is what I have on Love. He has all the traits Pats Mahomes but crap to back it up. Please,  highlight reels
