FWIW I would take Queen & Murray LONG before I take Chaisson - who I see as a fringe first-rounder. I think Chaisson has a lot of competition between Baun & Gross-Matos & also Epenesa.

Is it his prototypical height, weight, and length or his superior athleticism that you don't like? Perhaps it's his age. He won't turn 21 until late July. Or maybe because he played at a small school that struggled to get wins, in Lousiana St.? Could it be that he was made to wear the #18 Jersey at LSU which is bestowed on the teams "High Character Leader?"

Seriously though, there isn't much not to like about the kid.

I know he had injury issues he was working his way back from, but he was really knocking off the rust late in the season. He played A&M, Georgia, and Oklahoma back 2 back 2 back and came away with 5 sacks and 5 TFLs in those three late season games.

Reminds me a lot of another 20 year old LSU DE with a great last name, Danielle Hunter. Not very many of you liked him coming out either. I'll stick to my guns

In fact, he has about HALF of the sacks compared to:

A.J. Epenesa

Curtis Weaver

Zack Baun

 Yetur Gross-Matos

All had double digit Sacks. Chaisson did not. So for all his superior athleticism, he didn't produce. He screams project to me.

He was working his way back from injury though. As the season went on he got better, so I'm extrapolating the data from his last 4 or 5 weeks. If you do that then the production is there.

I like Baun be he's under 240lbs and stands 6'2"

I like Epenesa but his combine was terrible.

Weaver and YGM are solid picks, and may indeed have a higher floor than Chaisson, but I don't think either have a higher ceiling.

You get no argument from me on ceiling. The potential is there. I am just saying I think you are living far too much on a prayer when so many are, in my estimation, on a similar level.
