Ruggs is going to be Elway’s choice of this is how the draft goes.   Don’t even need a 2nd option imo.  With top T and Kinlaw / Simmons / Okudah off the board and rightfully so, BPA & need fit like a glove.

1. Ruggs (BPA, fills our biggest need and we are rumoured to like him. No brainer)

2. McKinney (Simmons playing on the tag and Jackson is old and injury prone, plus Fangio’s system uses a lot of 3-safety looks and we haven’t replaced Will Parks)

3. Henderson (Good scheme fit at CB)

If Ruggs comes off the board here, does anyone else feel like we are then hitting a slightly different tier of prospects? Is there anyone left here who you think is still in that top tier?

Chaisson.  Henderson is debatable.  That's probably about it.  I'd argue we're moving to the third tier though,

Tier 1: Burrow, Tua, Simmons, Young, Thomas, Wirfs, Wills, Brown, Jeudy, Lamb
Tier 2: Becton, Herbert, Kinlaw, Ruggs, Chaisson, Henderson
Tier 3: Queen, Jones, McKinney, Mims, Jefferson, Murray, Epenesa, Fulton

Chaisson and Henderson are borderline, both expected to be better NFL players than they showed in college. I think that projection puts them in another tier for me.

Henderson I'm borderline on but see the upside.  Chaisson is a guy I like more and more as I see more of him.  Started watching him during the season because I was tuning into LSU games for Burrow and he flashed several times throughout the year.  The post season process has just increased my opinion of him.  I don't think the difference between him and Chase Young as NFL edge rushers will be all that big.

I'm iffy on Henderson being on the same level.

I've said this in the DEN Forum - but DEN is in good position as long as 3 QB's go top 14.   I would love it if Love went top 14 as well, but not a BPA evaluation at all - someone's reaching.   The drop-off after Ruggs is pretty steep.   At least I could see Henderson as being in the ballpark, but it's still a drop IMO.

We've gone from being "OMG I hope Elway doesn't need to go after a QB like Herbert" while we waited to see if Lock has anything......to "OMG I hope someone takes a QB like Herbert (or Love) before us"....lol.

Ruggs, pretty much a no brainer here for me. I think Epenesa is low-key a sleeper for Denver given the emphasis Elway has put on pass rush and some rumblings in media that it's not completely off the table. I don't think Henderson is a good fit for Denver, and would not expect to see him Round 1. I think someone like Bryce Hall or Troy Pride is much more likely for the Broncos.
