Our roster is on the workbook link above. The powers that be are still editing for the correct players. I need someone to volunteer to be asst. GM to pick in case I can't be here. Even though we have chewed over this for the last 4 months. bigben07MVP
Really looking forward to this. I wish we had more draft picks/tradable assets to work with but still should be fun and a good way to occupy time. Ill get the discussion started off: are there any positions we should target via trade as opposed to one of our draft picks? Also, who should we make available for trade if anyone? I think we should try and accumulate as many draft picks as possible and I’m not opposed to a) trading back from 49 or b) trading 2021 picks to do so. I’m all about continuity especially with essentially no offseason to integrate new players. With that being said, I would make the following available for trade: Tyson Alualu Mason Rudolph Duck Hodges Chucks Okorafor Mike Hilton Vince Williams Bud Dupree (would need a 1st or high 2nd at least) @jebrick who are your favorite speed receivers? bigben07MVP
Would you mind adding our available draft picks to the OP Round 2, selection 49 Round 3, selection 102 (compensatory) Round 4, selection 124 Round 4, selection 135 (from Miami, from Tennessee) Round 6, selection 198 Round 7, selection
jebrick
I feel we do not have enough draft picks to trade. WR is very deep in this draft. I will point out that anyone can negotiate a trade but the war room must approve. Who I like for speed WR:( ignoring players that should be gone in the 1st round) Denzel Mims Jalen Reagor Brandon Aiyuk Laviska Shenault Jr. Chase Claypool K.J. Hamler - more like D. Johnson but... Devin Duvernay K.J. Hill - again, a lot like D. Johnson Joe Reed John Hightower Collin Johnson - not a real burner but big and fast enough Gabriel Davis Lynn Bowden Isaiah Coulter K.J. Osborn - very fast but struggles with press coverage
bigben07MVP
I floated out an offer for Goodwin for sheets and gigs Goodwin and pick #157 for pick #135 Not crazy about it but just feeling around. Veteran speed/deep threat could come in and compete with Cain for WR#4. Players that are on the block that I would be interested in poking around at: Jake Butt, TE Broncos Brandon Williams, NT Ravens Josh Rosen, QB Dolphins LeVeon Bell, RB Jets - If they would like him for #102 I'd do it. I believe salary cap isn't figured into this.
bigben07MVP
Another Offer: Jake Butt and a 7th(253) for a 6th round(198). Could take it or leave it. If he has any ACL remaining he could be a good 3rd tight end.
kurgan
I know it says we are all open to comment, but I didn't know for sure. If I'm in the wrong, admins can delete this post. I will just summarize my thoughts on the posts: I wouldn't trade Rudolph or Chucks. Just IMO. I would trade Alualu for peanuts, and the Duck. Speed WR I like from that list: Reagor (2.49), Duvernay (4th), Bowden (4th), Reed/Hightower (6th/7th) Like the Butt deal, TBH.

Everyone is more than welcome to comment and contribute, I’ve just been spamming the thread because I’ve got nothing to do all day LOL. If @jebrick is ok with the Butt deal I think we should pull the trigger. Big fan of Duvernay

"Virtual teaching... lol" Butt, if he ever gets healthy, is a Steelers-type TE. EMOL-blocker, Michigan guy, pop pass dude... he is definatly worth a shot. He would be our TE #3 (Really #2--I don't count EE as a TE) that would really allow us to do some 12 personnel stuff. Duvernay is not what we have on the roster. He is tricky, and I would love him on the roster. I don't think he is at all at real-life target of the Steelers, but I think he is a great fit. My guy is Bowden, but I like Reed/Hightower as well.
bigben07MVP
We lost out on the deal with Jake Butt. Cardinals may be interested in a draft day deal for Duck Hodges

My 2 cents anyway.

jebrick
I will happily move Duck out the door for a pick. Although I would rather let Biberty go
