Chris Jones is the key. A sign and trade deal along the lines of Buckner to the Colts. is a possibility. Then draft Javon Kinlaw or K'Lavon Chaisson with the pick. If Chaisson, use #32 to take the best slippery DT available. For our scheme, CB can wait to pick #63. Pass rush is more important.

If you more than a 2nd for Jones I’ll be impressed

We have traded Chris Jones to the Vikings for pick #25 in the first round and Sammy Watkins to the Ravens for a pick swap in the 2nd round (we move up 8 spots from #63 to #55) and their 3rd round pick (#106.)

To clarify, FFMD started just before the Watkins contract restructure. Both of these moves should set us up very nicely to have sustained success in the longterm, with Mahomes record breaking contract looming. Sad to see Chris J
ones go but I don't see how we could afford to pay both him and Frank Clark "that guy" money after this year. Glad he's in the NFC and on a competitive team, going the way of Jared Allen. We had the Dolphins interested in him as well but I didn't want to do our guy dirty.

Very interested to hear who y'all want to draft now that we have two 1sts, a more valuable 2nd, and two 3rds.

The wish list includes Derrick Brown, Javon Kinlaw, Mekhi Becton, Andrew Thomas, Kenneth Murray, Patrick Queen, CJ Henderson, K'Lavon Chaisson, in no particular order. If ANY of them is available, junk the plan and grab him. More realistic names include Yetur Gross-Matos and A.J. Epenesa. Edge rush is always a premium and there are no CB that are going to be great value at #25. #32 is different. At least three CB fall in the 25-35 range.

#55 ought to be a DT. Blacklock is my favorite, then Gallimore and Madubuike. Not Davidson. He's too much like Nnadi and Pennel.

Don't take a RB or WR in the first two rounds. There are 30 WR that might value in the top 100. If you really want one, take the top of the list at #96 or #106. RB is not as deep, but the position is better staffed

Even though we have Thornhill returning from injury, don't shy from a really good deal at safety.
