(As to the OP, I'm too much of a masochist to ever change my team .) Hahaha! Yep, truth be told, I'm almost as old as Vike Daddy. If I ever change teams, 'da Bears are definitely one of the ones I would consider migrating to, but the whole Trubisky situation makes that pretty tough right now. Might well just stay put and hope for the best with Cousins. At least with the Bears, you guys won in '85. In fact, you have a legitimate argument as to having had the best team of the Super Bowl era that year. Fun times for you guys. Lovie also got you to one in '06. Anything better than Grossman at QB and you might very well have won that one too.

As far as a division rival is concerned, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. By the way, the Cowboys are another team that I have thought about eventually switching over to. When I retire I'm going to move down south somewhere and Texas is a nice state to live in. I also liked the Cowboys a lot when I was a kid. I was a big fan of Tony Dorsett and the Cowboys' cheerleaders. Edited April 6, 2020 by Uncle Buck

Most of it has to do with the effort required to REALLY hate something. Hating a rival is hard work. It's a drain, especially if they're consistently good. I don’t feel like I actively hate them...at least not every second of every day. But I do not respect their successes, I do not appreciate their star players’ achievements, and I relish their failures. Also I actively hate them every second of every day.
FinSting
My MO every year is cheer for my team, and if/when they are eliminated, I sit back and hope for an entertaining, competitive playoffs and Super Bowl. Which doesn't always happen, there have so many utterly boring Super Bowls.
y*so*blu
I'm a fan of every team as far as cheerleaders go, know what I mean? Here, kitty. In a more serious vein: the Vikings are my first love and I never root against them. If Minny is not involved, then depending on my mood I might have a soft spot for the Cowboys, Giants, or Bucs. As far as the AFC goes, I've been a Patriots fan since the mid-90s but I like the Titans and Bills too. And there are some individual players I have great respect for such as Tom Brady, Donald Driver, Brett Favre, and of course the one and only Willie Snead, who shall one day save the world. And I'm a big fan of the XFL's New York Guardians. So I've always been somewhat flexible. But the Vikings are my most pressing commitment. Thought about the Saints and Browns, Denver made a strong push for my fandom (very strong push, actually). @ramssuperbowl99 and I are always listening to offers. You know, you could come to your senses and become a Titans fan. Both you and them would have had enough sense to leave Houston behind. And I would die the most horrible death before cheering for the Titans - that's like getting back with the girl who cheated on you with your three best friends, at the same time, on more than one occasion I have SOME self respect. The one team that is an immediate no is Tennessee. I'm just not a fan of The Bill O'Brien Football franchise located in Harris County TX.
TitanLegend
Never considered becoming a fan of another team, but there was a very brief period where I gave up on the Titans until changes were made. Ken Whisenhunt is the worst head coach I've ever had the displeasure of having to watch coach the game, and his incompetence week in, week out(outside of week 1, where for some reason we blew out the opponent both years he was here) was at a level I'm not sure I'd ever seen before. As someone who has watched Derek Dooley and Butch Jones coach my favorite college team, that's saying something. God bless Amy Adams Strunk and her realizing a move needed to be made just midway through Whisenhunt's 2nd year, and shouts out to her, Jon Robinson, Mike Mularkey and now Mike Vrabel for getting this team out of the cellar, and while we're certainly not the Patriots or anything, we're at least a competently run organization that I can have some level of hope in.

I'm sure that Bill O'Brien will be gone by the time you make your way home to Texas - and Houston has one of the lowest costs of living along with some of the greatest quality of life markers (your dollar goes further, plenty of opportunities for a side hustle when you're retired, relatively low crime out in the suburbs such as The Woodlands or Sugar Land) some of the best food to eat regardless of your tastes and some of the most beautiful women you'll find in America (ask @Dome). Come to Houston ...and you'll already be home. We'll cheer for Eric Bienemey and Deshaun Watson together, as they get the grime of BoB off of our minds.

Kinda defeats the purpose No? Don't hitch your wagon to their almost 3 decade long streak? You're playing with Fire with a lateral move like that! 😎🥃 Edited April 6, 2020 by Nabbs4u
BeaReylo
Thought about it but could never go through with it for a littany of reasons; couldn't decide on a team and I just didn't feel the same passion for the sports like when pulling for my team. When The B&G are playing well NFL becomes a religion and is my biggest source of entertainment over anything. When they're not and being the same old Redskins I remind myself its just a game and lose intrest in football altogether. Hail I barely watched any games last year because everyone knew it was going to go the way of the Hindenberg.
