I don't think of comedies that make me laugh when I think of the fifties, but as long as some people are nominating romantic comedies I'll just go with:

Gidget
Roman Holiday
Sabrina

Sabrina a comedy?  Not sure that is a romantic comedy at all, she tried to literally kill herself in the film.  Comedy?  No thank you, Audrey Hepburn drying in a film is no laughing matter.

I can see what you're saying, but there just weren't many true comedies to pick from during the 50's.  I'd rather make the stretch that an Audrey Hepburn movie was a comedy than nominate anything with Jerry Lewis in it anyday.

Rebel Without a Cause
Dial M for Murder
The Ten Commandments

Ace in the Hole
The Killing
Rear Window

Rio Bravo

you missed about 7 of the 10 best.
