I think this comes down to Jackson or YGM. I went YGM as I believe the team is most benefited by adding a pass rusher here and adding OL later.

Why no DE round 1? Everything I’ve heard from a Vikings fans is that is now arguably the top need and YGM seems like a pretty good value here.

You don’t think Wilson is a bit of a reach here?

Also, what’s the huge jump for Winfield as of the past 4 weeks? he was a 3rd round prospect before this. Curious as to why he has jumped so much? Personally I think he is a nice player but has a lot of holes in his game, he’s not the caliber player of his Dad.

I think he was an early 2nd rounder with the biggest concern being speed which he squashed with his combine 40.  What are these 'lot of holes'?  Dude isn't big, but he's an incredibly instinctive football player.

We are great at developing DE's. The highest we have drafted one under Zimmer is round 3 (Chricton/Hunter). I don't see that changing.

Wilson is a reach. Maybe our hand is forced here.

I've felt Winfield was a solid round 2 guy since like December.

Zimmer has never had to fill a starting DE position before.  He inherited two quality starters in Griffen (who has been his starting RDE his entire tenure). and Robison. Which allowed him time to draft and develop BRob’s replacement in Hunter

 The only DEs left on the roster are Hunter and Odenigbo ( an UDFA who was cut, signed somewhere else, then was resigned), along with FA pickup Zettel and practice squad pickup Yarborough.  
Whether Odenigbo can be a starter and there is enough depth quality is questionable.
