1) Grant Delpit

2) Zack Baun

3) Left Blank

Delpit is a great replacement for Fitzpatrick. Very rangy safety with great coverage skills. Exactly what they need imo.

Zack Baun is a perfect fit for their 3-4 Defense and they need an EDGE Rusher.

1st option for me is C. Ruiz here. BPA for me
2nd would be RB J. Taylor. Think he's going to be a stud
3rd option is D. Swift. Really like his game as well.

Austin Jackson could be a possibility, but as they drafted a T already and it's a strong T class I would wait in the 2nd or 3rd to grab another one.

As a Dolphins fan my first instinct was Ruiz.

BTW, this draft is 40 years after drafting Dwight Stephenson in the second round. I don't believe Miami has ever drafted a center in the first round. That's probably true of many teams.

Second I went with Winfield. Then third with Jackson.

But as mentioned so many ways they can go here, given flexibility with picks 39 and 56 in the second round

Man Ruiz is being severely over-drafted in these laymen mocks. A 2nd round value at best, he is another Jonathan Cooper waiting to happen. Makes zero sense but ok.

What?  If you think he's Jonathan Cooper, do you think he's worth a 2nd round pick?

Baun even after signing KVN and Lawson to decent deals? Both are locked in for at least 2 more seasons. Doesn’t hurt having more pass rushers but for a team like Miami that has a lot for room to improve virtually everywhere, you’d think they’d go somewhere else, no?

Didn’t know they signed KVN to be honest. Lawson is a super weird fit in a 3-4. But you certainly have a point, may have to rethink it. Baun will be a different animal than those guys though imo. I really hope he doesn’t go to the Pats or Chiefs.

Yeah, not a big fan of Lawson especially at that price (Miami can afford it, so whatever). Flores runs multiple fronts, so I’m sure he’ll make use.

I like McKinney here. Fortify that secondary with McCain returning as a slot CB, Rowe at one safety spot, and Jones/Howard playing outside.
