ajura pyta
*Note- I started this mock before the free agency period, so some picks do not reflect team movement. Rather than change the whole mock, I changed the explanation some. ROUND 1 1. Cin- Chase Young- DE- Ohio St. With as many holes as the Bengals have, they cannot afford to pass on a potential generational talent to reach for a quarterback with the top pick. If they take Burrow here, I think within five years he will be considered the guy taken instead of Chase Young and it will be considered a draft blunder compared to The Saints taking George Rogers #1 instead of Lawrence Taylor in 1981. **TRADE** Was trades #2 to Mia for #5 and #18 2. Mia (from Was)- Joe Burrow- QB- LSU With the Bengals making the smart move, the Redskins have the Golden Ticket for the Quarterback position and the Dolphins have a need at the position. Burrow will benefit from a redshirt year in the NFL, so I also anticipate that the Dolphins will still with Ryan Fitzpatrick for one more season. **TRADE** Det trades #3 to TB for #14, #45 and a 2021 1st- rounder. 3. TB (from Det)- Tua Tagovailoa- QB- Alabama Tom Brady can't play forever, so there is still a huge need at the quarterback position in Tampa. With this aggressive move, the Bucs get one of the most polished passers in College Football. Tagovailoa will also need a redshirt year in the NFL to insure that he's fully recovered from his hip injury last fall. Tua will be ready to step in whenever Brady calls it a career. 4. NYG- Tristan Wirfs- OT- Iowa Wirfs blew up the combine with his record setting performance, solidifying him as the best o-lineman available this season. The Giants line has been horrible for years, so this is a need based pick to begin the rebuilding process of the unit. 5. Was (from Mia)- Jeff Okudah- CB- Ohio St. With Josh Norman out of the picture, the 'Skins are in need of a new top cover guy, so adding the top corner available here is a no-brainer in my opinion. 6. LAC- Justin Herbert- QB- Oregon With franchise icon Philip River heading out the door, The Bolts need to get his replacement in this draft. With Herbert falling in their laps here, they will get the most NFL-Ready signal caller in this years draft class. Herbert should win the starting nod from whomever is brought in to compete with him. 7. Car- Isaiah Simmons- LB- Clemson The Panthers just lost standout Luke Kuechly to retirement, so bringing in Simmons to replace him is a no-brainer in my opinion. This selection would also confirm new Head Coach Matt Rhule's recent commitment to Cam Newton as his starting QB. 8. Ari- CeeDee Lamb- WR- Oklahoma Quarterback Kyler Murray has publicly lobbied to bring his former Sooners teammate to the desert and in this situation, he gets his wish. Lamb will take over as the teams #2 receiver one future Hall-of-Famer Larry Fitzgerald decides to hang up his cleats. In the mean time, with the addition of DeAndre Hopkins, coach Kliff Kingsbury has the receiving corps to make his Air Raid offense work in the NFL. 9. Jax- Derrick Brown- DT- Auburn The defensive firesale has continued in Jacksonville with the trade of AJ Bouye, so there is a huge need for reinforcements on that side of the ball. Adding a gap-penetrating interior lineman is a great way to start. 10. Cle- Andrew Thomas- OT- Georgia Getting a new blind-side protector for their offensive line should be the top priority for the Browns in this draft. Adding Thomas here is a perfect fit to solidify the position for the next ten years. 11. NYJ- Mekhi Becton- OT- Louisville To continue improving, Sam Darnold needs better protection up front. If it weren't for Wirfs, Becton would have been the star lineman of the combine. He has the skills to lock down the left side of the Jets line as a rookie. 12. LV- Javon Kinlaw- DT- S. Carolina The Raiders need help at all three levels of their defense. Adding Kinlaw here will solidify their d-line moving forward. **TRADE** SF trades #13 to GB for #30 and a 2021 1st rounder. 13. GB (from Ind)- Jerry Jeudy- WR- Alabama Many people in Green Bay believe that they're a pass-catcher away from being able to make a final push for a championship with Aaron Rodgers under center. Making the aggressive move for Jeudy here will give them that weapon to complement Davante Adams in the passing game. 14. Det (from TB)- Yetur Gross-Matos- DE- Penn St. The pass rush in Detroit is in serious need of an upgrade. Adding Gross-Matos here will go a long way to improve their play in the trenches. 15. Den- Tee Higgins- WR- Clemson Courtland Sutton made huge strides for the Broncos last season, but they still need someone to play on the other side. With Higgins in the fold, there will be no excuses for Drew Lock not to take the next steps at the quarterback position. 16. Atl- AJ Epenesa- DE- Iowa The Falcons have invested a ton of draft capital on their pass rush in recent years with little to show for it. Hopefully adding Epenesa here will finally give them some production from the position. 17. Dal- Grant Delpit- S- LSU The Cowboys have been without a difference-maker at safety for far too long. Getting Delpit her will help the backend of their defense immensely. 18. Was (from Pit)- Jedrick Wills- OT- Alabama Trent Williams' standoff with the franchise has to end soon. Adding Wills here will allow them to have a replacement for him and allow them to trade him to the highest bidder. 19. LV (from Chi)- Henry Ruggs III- WR- Alabama If there is anything that's a certainty, the Raiders love speed. Ruggs provides just that and will be the deep threat the team has been missing for a while. 20. Jax (from LAR)- Kenneth Murray- LB- Oklahoma The Jags continue the retooling of their defense by adding Murray to their front seven. He should team up with Myles Jack to create a great 1-2 punch at the linebacker position. 21. Phi- Denzel Mims- WR- Baylor In order for Carson Wentz to succeed as their franchise QB, he needs better playmakers around him. Mims was a combine standout and should fit in nicely on the outside for the Eagles' offense. 22. Min (from Buf)- Justin Jefferson- WR- LSU Kirk Cousins will need some additional weapons on the outside after the trade of Stefon Diggs. Adding Jefferson will give him a true #1 threat at the receiver position. 23. NE- Cole Kmet- TE- Notre Dame The Patriots offense was clearly missing Rob Gronkowski in 2019, so replacing him with the top-rated tight end in this class will give whomever is playing quarterback in New England a great outlet receiver. 24. NO- Neville Gallimore- DT- Oklahoma As long as #9 is there to run the offense, the Saints are doing well on that side of the ball. Adding Gallimore into the defensive trenches will improve them greatly on the defensive side of the ball. 25. Min- Austin Jackson- OT- USC The Vikings need to take the best available tackle with their top pick. Jackson has the ability to play on either side to protect Kirk Cousins. 26. Mia (from Hou)- Jonathan Taylor- RB- Wisconsin His performance at the combine proved that Taylor is the real deal. He will take over as the primary ball-carrier for the Dolphins. 27. Sea- Tyler Biadasz- C- Wisconsin The Seahawks need to get the best available offensive lineman at any position with their first pick. Getting Biadasz will solidify the Center position and allow them to do some tinkering at the other positions to get the best five on the field in 2020. 28. Bal- K'Lavon Chaisson- LB- LSU The Ravens have lost several edge players over the past few years and have not adequately replaced them. Chaisson will step into a starting role immediately. 29. Ten- Jalen Reagor- WR- TCU In order to take the next step on offense, the Titans need to improve their outside attack. Reagor has the speed to take the top off a defense to provide even more space for the running game underneath. **TRADE** SF trades #30 to Pit for #49, #102, and a 2021 2nd rounder. 30. Pit (from GB)- Jacob Eason- QB- Washington In need of a QB of the future, the Steelers move into the late first round to get Eason and also get the fifth year option on his rookie deal as a first-round draft pick. **TRADE** SF trades #31 to Cin for #33 and #147 31. Cin (from SF)- Jordan Love- QB- Utah St. The Bengals also move into the late first round to get the fifth-year option on the QB of their choice. Love has all the tools to excel in the NFL. 32. KC- D'Andre Swift- RB- Georgia Adding Swift here will make the Chiefs potent offense much more dangerous for opposing defensive coordinators. **Player trades prior to day 2** Was trades OT Trent Williams to Mia for #39 Cin trades QB Andy Dalton and #180 to NE for #100 SF trades WR Dante Pettis to NE for #195 ROUND 2 33. SF (from Cin)- CJ Henderson- CB- Florida 34. Ind (from Was)- Trevon Diggs- CB- Alabama 35. Det- Laviska Shenault Jr- WR- Colorado 36. NYG- Zach Baun- LB- Wisconsin 37. LAC- Curtis Weaver- LB- Boise St. 38. Car- Michael Pittman Jr- WR- USC 39. Was (from Mia)- Harrison Bryant- TE- FAU 40. Hou (from Ari)- Kristian Fulton- CB- LSU 41. Hunter2_1
My team; 1. The need is there, but it's too early for Kmet. Not to mention BB doesn't really draft TE's, unless they're absolute freaks/monsters (Gronk and Hernandez) or he's misjudged upside (izzo). He considers the position 2nd only to QB in difficulty learning, so tends to go FA. 2. Yep, could definitely see the Auburn DT here. 3. Would absolutely love Wilson at 98!! Plz plz
THE DUKE
You're only mock of the year and you mess up after 1 pick.

I really like round 4 through 6. Breeland in the 3rd is pretty bad and I think Dugger or Chinn are a Buffalo Bill if they're on the board at 54.I think James Morgan would be the pick in round 7. The Bengals probably will take Joe Burrow, but that WILL be a mistake in my opinion. Historically, bad teams stay bad by reaching for a quarterback with the top pick when there are better positional players available (case in point: JaMarcus Russell to Oakland over Calvin Johnson in '07). scar988
This might be one of the worst Falcons mocks I've seen. Epenesa doesn't have a role if he comes here. Dobbins is great, but can't see the Falcons taking a RB in the 2nd after never doing so under Dimitroff. (He just doesn't value RBs, like at all, in the draft). The corner is blech. Just overall, not good fits and doesn't really address needs.

What about the other side of that where Jared Goff or Carson Wentz were taken and turned the franchise around?
bigdog2372
No offense, but this is the single worst mock I have seen this mock season for the Bucs. We are not in a position to give up a myriad of picks, especially for an injury prone QB that is falling out of favor in NFL circles. Word is that he didn't interview well and the question is out there as to whether he was made by the talent around him at Alabama. We need to stand pat and take BPA or even trade down for more picks. We need depth across the board.

Wow Great job on the mock. I like drafts that have trades. The 1st pick, are you crazy !! Change the names on your comment about 5 years. No way you pass on Borrow. The 3rd pick, Your brilliant, that's the 1st time I have seen that scenario . Make complete sense. Now to the Pats. Like Met, way to early. Try to trade into second RD then draft him. Trade 23 pick. Don't like the trade for Dalton however it more realistic that some of the other scenarios like a 1st round pick or multuple mid round picks. Cap is a major problem. Pass You have KC Hamler picked in the 4th round, loveit but will never happen he's long gone, 2nd rd talent. Blankenship is a waste of a pick. Way to early. Later in draft take Bass. IMO better suited for NFL Again thanks for the draft. Edited April 13, 2020 by m haynes
INbengalfan
So not only do you have the Bengals pass on Burrow, you don't have them trading back either? Blasphemy. At least be realistic and give them the haul to pass on Burrow. Then they double down by trading UP for Love? You got it all wrong. They will trade down if Love is there at 33. FalconFan13
My friend i think you should have taken the time to redo quite a bit of this mock as i think alot of teams are wrong now as FA changed a ton of their needs and players they should be looking at. As for the Falcons i don't hate any of the players we got actually and if you were to have shown me this exact draft before free agency hit i would have been in love with it. After Free Agency not so much as the 1st 2 picks for us aren't even really needs anymore that much as it was our 2 biggest free agent pickups are those 2 positions lol. We still need a SLB, DT, CB, Safety, and OG i do think some of the later picks were rock solid like the OG pick in round 4 or so that was great. Here is how the draft would have went better for us based on who was there 1st - Chaisson - SLB/Edge 2nd - Jaylon Johnson - CB - We actually have the 47 pick not baltimore they got the NE pick of 55. We gladly take Johnson here the #2 CB in the class. 3rd - Ashtyn Davis- S - In round 1 i'll pass but in round 3 i'll take him all day long. 4A - Jordan Elliott- DT - Probably goes round 3 would love him here as well. 4B - Lloyd Cushenberry - C - This dude probably goes round 2 this is a steal here. 7th - Don't even care after that group i listed lol.
