Trojan
I think I want more from the Patriots, like their 2021 2nd also and a number of 2020 late round picks because I think 159 is our latest pick and I want late selections included as we move down. I'm not really feeling Patrick Queen at 23 given we signed two LBs in FA, and I don't think we will play in base defense enough to justify the pick. I think I'd like Jaylon Johnson at 34, but maybe at 23 over Queen and see who dropped to 34. Just curious since #34 is only two picks past your mock, who would you have us chose? FalconFan13
Even though it's quite realistic and can easily happen. I hate it for the Falcons and this is one of the very few picks that can happen that i won't be happy about at all. The guy going right after us to 17 i would be more pleased with and honestly the Cowboy fans on here are thinking the same thing lol They prefer Henderson where we prefer Chaisson. I agree and had them the other way around but when I checked through I just felt the Falcons would go CB more.

If you think about it though it's sorta dumb to do so as we have a bigger need at SLB than CB and the CB position is WAY DEEPER we can get a CB thats as good if not better imo in round 2 with Johnson, Diggs, Hall, Arnette, Igo, and Terrell. Then honestly i a guy in round 3 like Dantzler or Robertson would be as good if not better as well for much better value. If you are a GM why draft a position so early thats so deep and screw yourself over on a position not as strong in SLB in rounds 2 and 3. So in the end you cause yourself to have a much weaker draft by doing so. Chaisson + any of those CB's i listed is a very strong draft and you lose almost no talent or value. Henderson + the next best SLB in round 2 wouldn't be anywhere as strong talent wise i feel and honestly you might not even get a SLB you want because it's not deep if someone takes them. Where as you are almost guaranteed to get a talented CB in round 2. Edited April 15, 2020 by FalconFan13
SmittyBacall
Cincinnati has too long a history of hoarding picks and preferring to move down to make such an out-of-character move. It’s extremely unlikely we would trade up this early. We value draft capitol far more than the average team. Jackson isn’t even a prospect worth trading up for, and we aren’t desperate enough for the position. There’s a much better chance we move down from 33 as teams will reset their boards overnight and come calling the next day. 33 will be BPA. I would truly hate this move and just don’t see it happening.
soflbillsfan
I find it hard to believe Minnesota would draft Diggs brother after Trevon made comments about his brother's situation during the last couple of seasons. I think vikings would go with a lesser talented CB to avoid drafting him but that is merely a guess with what went down on social media

I would agree with you more if it was a player worth trading up for, like Patrick Queen or Josh Jones. Austin Jackson is just terribly average. I’d be underwhelmed taking him in the 3rd, let alone trading up for him.

I know this scenario has you missing out on Ruggs and Lamb. For sure they are decent and I think the right range too, I just don't see LB going early given they gave all that money to two in FA. I feel like if we have Herbert on the clock and the best we can get is 23 a 3rd and a possibly late 2021first, then we might as well take Herbert. If Jefferson is the guy, then still take him at 19. I'd rather have Herbert than Queen tbh. Herbert could learn a year or two, and take over as the most important position. Queen would be a rotational LB for us which is a bad situation for him and bad value for the team I think. Herbert is a slightly worse next year value, but exponentially better value down the line I think. If the Pats gave 2020 late rounders and threw in their 2021 2nd even conditionally (like if they make the playoffs we get their second) maybe. I think we'd rather sell Herbert for more or take him though. Carr and Mariota, one of them is gone after 2020 I would think salary wise. The Gnat
For obvious reasons I think the Vikings would probably not draft Diggs. That said, positions drafted for the Vikings aren't that bad.
