Chiefer
What if we draft a Receiver? Like a Raegor or a Mims? Shenault in the 2nd? I think Veach waits till the later rounds on WR, but I wouldn’t be super upset.

Use one to pick Jordyn Brooks, LB I’ve liked what I seen out of Brooks. I also like Patrick Queen, or Willie Gay.
mayanfootball
i've become more convince the Chiefs are going to trade out of 1/32. looming contracts with Jones and/or Mahomes convinced me further. we just won't have the cap space. Right now Mahomes gets less than 5% of the cap. After signing his extension it'll be closer to 20-30% of the team's Cap. Lower rd. players are cheaper to keep under the CAP. https://www.espn.com/blog/kansas-city-chiefs/post/_/id/28061/with-patrick-mahomes-contract-looming-chiefs-should-trade-down-in-nfl-draft Quote Consider: The NFL player with the richest contract based on average pay per year is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who is making $35 million annually. Wilson will count $31 million against the Seahawks' salary cap this year, or about 16%. Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff has the league's highest 2020 cap number at about $36 million, accounting for 20.8% of his team's cap. Mahomes, who will count about $5.3 million against the Chiefs' cap this year, is chewing up just 2.4% of their space. In other words, things will change for the Chiefs once Mahomes receives his new contract. That's why trading down to acquire additional picks makes sense. Edited April 22, 2020 by mayanfootball
