Bored and decided to do one last mock until the draft! Hope everyone is enjoying Tiger King in the time being lmao.

 

Draft:

RD 1 #30:

 Justin Madubuike*, DT, Texas A&M
Height: 6-3. Weight: 293. Arm: 33.5. Hand: 9.
40 Time: 4.83.
Projected Round (2020): 1-2.
3/21/20: Madubuike decided to skip his senior year and enter the 2020 NFL Draft after an impressive junior season in which he recorded 5.5 sacks, 45 tackles, and 11.5 tackles for a loss. Madubuike is twitchy interior lineman who is very disruptive at the point of attack. He dominated against Ole Miss and was impressive against Georgia with its future NFL offensive linemen. In those contests, Madubuike showed he is capable of taking a game over.

 

RD 2: #62

 Matt Peart, OT, Connecticut
Height: 6-6. Weight: 310. Arm: 35.13. Hand: 9.75.
40 Time: 5.06.
Projected Round (2020): 2-3.
4/11/20: Peart continued his starting streak at right tackle for Connecticut. He then had a good week at the Senior Bowl, displaying that he has a skill set to become a starter in the NFL. Peart might start out as a backup, but he has the upside to be a good edge blocker. He has good athleticism, quickness, feet and size. At the combine, Peart ran a fast 40-yard dash. Some team sources feel that Peart could be a steal in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

 

Trade: We trade our 3rd # 94, 5th 176, and 6th 192, 7th 242 to move up to the top half of the 3rd round

3rd:

 Gabriel Davis*, WR, Central Florida
Height: 6-2. Weight: 216. Arm: 32.25. Hand: 9.25.
40 Time: 4.54.
Projected Round (2020): 2-4.
4/4/20: Davis is a prospect who generated some buzz in the scouting community and impressed for Central Florida. He has a good build and mismatch size. In 2019, Davis totaled 72 receptions for 1,241 yards with 12 touchdowns. He also produced well as a sophomore (53-815-7). Davis displayed big ability in 2019, putting his draft stock on the map. He helped himself with a solid combine performance.

 

 

 

4th # 136

 Reggie Robinson, CB, Tulsa
Height: 6-1. Weight: 202. Arm: 32.38. Hand: 8.25.
40 Time: 4.44.
Projected Round (2020): 3-4.
3/14/20: Robinson could get drafted higher than expected because he is a tall cornerback with speed and athleticism. He totaled four interceptions, 13 passes broken up and 38 tackles during his senior year. Over previous three seasons, he totaled 21 passes broken up. Robinson has a good skill set and could develop into a starting outside cornerback. He's a sleeper pick who could be a steal.

 

6th #208

 Elijah Mitchell, RB, La.-Lafayette
Height: 5-11. Weight: 221.
Projected 40 Time: 4.57.
Projected Round (2020): 5-7.
4/4/20: In 2019, Mitchell averaged 5.8 yards per carry for 1,092 yards and 15 touchdowns. He notched 10 receptions for 70 yards.

8/17/19: In a talented backfield with teammates Trey Ragas and Raymond Calais, Mitchell is a thick power back who made it onto NFL teams' preseason watch lists. In 2018, Mitchell averaged 6.7 yards per carry for 977 yards with 13 touchdowns. He had 20 receptions for 349 yards and three scores.

 

Rd 6 #209

 

 Darryl Williams, C, Mississippi State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 304. Arm: 32.13. Hand: 9.75.
40 Time: 5.23.
Projected Round (2020): 4-6.
4/11/20: Williams was moved to center for the Bulldogs in 2019, and that is the position that would fit him best in the NFL given his lack of length. Over his college career, he was a tough competitor for Mississippi State. He is a well-rounded blocker who is effective in the ground game and dependable in pass coverage. At the East-West Shrine, a good week of practice illustrated that Williams could become a starter in the NFL.

 

Rd 7: 224

 Darrion Daniels, NT, Nebraska
Height: 6-3. Weight: 311. Arm: 33.75. Hand: 9.13.
40 Time: 5.18.
Projected Round (2020): 5-7.
3/21/20: Daniels recorded 34 tackles with 1.5 sacks and an interception in 2019. He worked out pretty well at the combine to help himself.

Mostly just the first 3 picks and the trade.

Everyone says wait on WR because there is depth there but then you end up with a guy with a 26 percentile sparq score and 54% catch rate.

Agreed .. they are all going a round higher than I am accustomed to seeing, but it's probably realistic.

I would argue though that there is better depth at receiver than defensive line.

Think this draft isn't bad at all.  Not sure how the players will fit in but like the thought process involved at the positions you drafted in.  If we do make that trade, better be a pretty good player in return.

I get this draft. Not the guys that are my favs, but it isn’t bad. I would probably flip a one of your late round picks to a db

Don't like it...no ILB and only one WR? I would not trade up for Davis and Certainly not that many picks.

Without the trade...I don't have a problem...simply because I believe you can address the TE, ILB and WR2 in those traded picks.

You never know but you drat a lot of reaches in the rounds you selected them. I think if Gute drafts a reach DT in R1 when the team has higher priorities early then i assume his job si on  the line.  Justin Madubuike is in the top 5 of DT's but 1st round - not IMO.
