The most-blue collar teams in NFL history

Recommended Posts

Which teams produced the most blue-collar, old-school, low-maintenance, do your job, win rings-type of mentality year after year?

Players included as well?

Packers, Steelers, and Giants.

Anyone remember the thread on the old website where the topic creator stated he no longer wanted to be a fan of his life-long team, the Packers, because they were blue collar? That was something.

Raiders and Steelers come to mind. Especially in the 1970s and early 80s and the blue collar mentality also matched the respective cities and fans. Green Bay in general is a solid fit as well, but maybe for farm-boy country strong mentality than "blue collar"?

Since GB and PIT are mentioned by others I will name some Raiders that are worth mentioning from the top of my head.

I'm not sure if Vegas Raiders will have the same blue collar legacy as the Raiders as it seems like an expensive showy venue, but Oakland is right in the port area. It's not pretty. It's cheap tickets and concrete. It's you and tens of thousands of other fans that took the train or brought your used RV to the parking lot for beers and BBQ.
Just let Phil tell some stories:

That sounds hilarious.

The other two teams that come to mind when I think of blue collar are the Niners, and (a little more debatable and less successful overall) the Bears.

Wonder if there’s any such blue collar teams with modern day NFL ticket pricing

Lot of people who go to NFL games are blue collar (though maybe not Cowboy games theyre like $200 for the worst seat in the stadium)

Early 2000 Patriots. Really until 2007 when they got Moss they were all viewed as workhorses and were highly undervalued. People legit complained about Ty Law making the HOF, when if he was in any other team during that era he would have been one of the top stars in the league
