Quick trade scenario mock

I found the idea of trading back with Miami for 18, 26 and 39 interesting, although its unlikely.

I found a pretty accurate mock simulator at pfn and gave it a whirl:

18 - Javon Kinlaw DT

26 - Klavon Chaisson OLB

35 - Jonathen Taylor RB

39 - Jaylon Johnson CB

67 - Brandon Aiyuk WR

85 - Malik Harrison LB

109 - Willie Gay Jr. OLB

149 - Robert Hunt OT

166 - Trevis Gipson DE

182 - Ben Bredeson OG

All opinions welcomed.

IF it could turn out like this, I wouldn't be upset.  I just don't think Kinlaw lasts that long.  I like Chaisson and think he is going to be a beast, but I do admit he is a risky pick. If we took him, I definitely want another 1st round pick and there is no secret I'm a huge Kinlaw fan.

There are a lot of guys I dont see lasting to where you have them (Kinlaw, Chaisson, Aiyuk, Gipson, Bredeson). So yeah, If it worked out this way I would be happy with it.  I just dont see Kinlaw getting out of the top 10/15.  I think we would have to draft Chaisson at 18 and see what fell to 26.

Should insist for #5 & #26. And with the 5th pick, take ISAIAH SIMMONS. I have been watch a lot of highlights on him, mainly the championship game. He is going to be a stud in the league & we’ll be discussing could of, should of if we don’t take him. Build D line & LB’s to shut down these QB’s from sitting back there picking us apart.

Most mocks and simulations I see have Kinlaw going 15 to 20. Chaisson is usually between 23 and I think 29.

You have 3 QBs heavily expected to go top 10 or so.

Then theres Young, Okudah, Simmons, Brown, potentially 3 OTs...theres gonna be a run on receivers between 10 and 15..I expect Jeady and Lamb to go top 15 at least.

That's 12 there..potentially.

I thought it would be fun to explore.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I have seen the Bucs, Panthers, and Falcons tied to Kinlaw.  Even some talk the Falcons will move up for him from 16.  Kinlaw is currently a better prospect than any of the WRs but would depend on need.  Even if you have the 12 you mentioned, there are 5 more picks before we would pick.  So the odds of 5 more players grading out above him is slim.  I actually like him more than Brown for our D so I am somewhat bias, but everything I see has him linked to the top 10-12 picks.

Assuming no Kinlaw who would you like to target in this situation?

would you be upset if we went Ruggs at pick 18?

I'm a Packers fan now....lol, I like Ruggs a lot. But if he ends up a Lion this year and he's not the 2nd first round pick for us, I'll be very unhappy. even if he is the second first round pick, I think it would be a wasted opportunity.  I view so many positions above WR and this class is very deep in WR as well. I think Ruggs is going to be great, but no thanks.

18 - Klavon Chaisson OLB

26 - Kristan Fulton CB

35 - Ceasar Ruiz, OC/OG

39 - Neville Gallimore DT

67 - Jeremy Chin S

85 - Chase Claypool/Donavan Peoples Jones WR

109 - Darrynton Evans RB

149 - Alex Taylor OT

166 - Madre Harper CB

182 - Garrett Marino DE/DT

Here is something more realistic in my thoughts.  I know after the top 5 its all speculation but this is the type of haul I think we could get, and I would be happy with it.

played a madden scenario on franchise. with 2020 draft class.

1 cb henderson (we picked 10) joe burrow was there.

2 chaison

3 a RT i forget but fell from 2nd

4 DENZEL MIMS WR my favorite pick

5 JALEN HURTS playing injuries on and picked up Fitzmagic as FA instead of Daniel and Blough

6 a center from duke? i think

7 DT that fell from 3rd rd

played first game....forgot to put in  the RT and plpayed Bears.....Mack got a quick three sacks lmaoooo. literally blew past him in a straight line. Next game put new guy in and chipping with Hock and much better. Also made a trade for a RG. Hes a 79 overall. but didnt waste any picks at least. Still fun. and no im not a HUrts lover. just wanted a scrambler to develop and he happened to be there. no RB or OL or DL or DB looked good there.  wanted another LB but now stacked and had to trade Jones and Reeves
